McDonald’s is bringing the Grimace Milkshake to UK restaurants – but you’ll need to be quick to get it.
The milkshake is inspired by the iconic purple McDonald’s character Grimace and is made by mixing blueberry syrup and a creamy milkshake base. It was last sold in the UK in September to celebrate 50 years of McDonald’s in the UK – but now, Maccies has confirmed it will be back from December 11 for two weeks only, or until stocks last.
It is priced at £2.69 for a medium size, or £2.99 for a large. McDonald’s fans went wild for the Grimace Milkshake when it was last available, with one person saying: “It needs to stay, it’s absolutely delicious.” Another fan commented: “Tried this yesterday. Loved it. Please keep it on the menu.”
It comes after McDonald’s launched its Christmas menu last week. There is a new Terry’s Chocolate Orange Pie, which has a crispy chocolate pastry filled with a Terry’s Chocolate Orange flavoured chocolate ganache. This comes alongside the returning Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry and Galaxy Caramel McFlurry.
The other new addition is the Cheesy McCrispy burger, which contains chicken breast fillet in a crunchy coating, served with lettuce, crispy onions, pink pickled onion chutney, bacon, two slices of cheese, and cheese sauce. Other fan favourites that have returned are the Big Tasty, plus the Big Tasty with Bacon. In case you’ve never tried it, the Big Tasty consists of a beef patty, Emmental cheese, onions, tomatoes and a smoky flavoured sauce in a toasted bun.
These are back alongside the popular Cheese Melt Dippers, which are cheese dippers made with Camembert and served with a rich tomato dip. Finally, you’ll once again be able to sip on two iconic hot drinks – the Galaxy Caramel Latte and the Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate, which are made with Galaxy Caramel flavour syrup, topped with caramel cream and Galaxy Chocolate stars.
