Autumn is all about knitwear and M&S has just launched a brand new Chanel-inspired cardigan that ‘looks expensive’ and ‘elegant’ and comes in three different colours

There’s no such thing as too much knitwear when it comes to your autumn/winter wardrobe, and although you can’t go wrong with a jumper, this year cardigans are reigning supreme as the must-have addition to your cold weather outfits. Chic, effortless and easy to style, nabbing yourself a cosy cardigan is an absolute must this season, and Marks and Spencer just launched the perfect one that’s already getting rave reviews.

The Crew Neck Cardigan is a bargain at £39.50 and is perfect for autumn layering. It’s already racked up a 4.8 star rating on the M&S website, with shoppers raving about how warm it is, not to mention how “expensive” and “elegant” it looks – definitely a winner for winter.

The cardigan is perfect for getting a luxe look on a budget, and several of its details give it a distinctly Chanel-inspired look. It features gold buttons up the front, with a timeless crew neckline and two patch pockets on the front, all of which are often seen in Chanel’s high end outerwear.

The ribbed trims also give the knitwear a neat finish, whilst the lightweight knit means it’s perfect for layering or wearing on its own indoors. It has an elegant, relaxed fit with a boxy silhouette that’s both flattering and timeless, and is cut to hip length so you can wear it with everything from jeans and skirts to layered over the top of midi dresses.

You can currently snap up the cardigan in three different colours, including neutrals like ivory and oatmeal, as well as a vibrant red colour that’s one of this year’s top trending colours and is perfect for adding a bold pop to your autumnal outfit. It’s also available in sizes extra small to extra large.

Despite landing in Marks and Spencer’s new-in section, the cardigan has already racked up an impressive 4.8 out of 5 star rating, with one shopper saying: “Bought it in red. Great quality and very warm. Looks expensive!”

Another added: “Long sleeves but I am quite small. Lovely shape, washes well. Liked it so much I bought again as a gift for my friend who also loved it.”

Whilst a third wrote: “This is a beautiful cardigan which will look equally good with a dress, skirt or trousers. Warm yet elegant it will be a great additional piece.”

If you want some other colour options, H&M has also launched a similar-looking version, which comes in navy, dark green, cream and red. It has similar gold buttons and patch pockets, however rather than a soft lightweight knit it has a slightly thicker ribbed-knit style.
