Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the added 0.24% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index lost 1.84%, and the index lost 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the were Siemens AG Class N (ETR:), which rose 5.70% or 7.92 points to trade at 146.82 at the close. Meanwhile, E.ON SE (ETR:) added 2.04% or 0.23 points to end at 11.52 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) was up 1.16% or 0.39 points to 33.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zalando SE (ETR:), which fell 4.60% or 1.11 points to trade at 23.02 at the close. Siemens Energy AG (ETR:) declined 2.60% or 0.29 points to end at 10.86 and BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) was down 2.48% or 1.12 points to 43.93.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which rose 3.22% to 32.22, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) which was up 1.80% to settle at 118.75 and Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:) which gained 0.95% to close at 5.76.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was down 22.40% to 15.92 in late trade, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:) which lost 8.95% to settle at 82.45 and K&S AG (ETR:) which was down 5.24% to 14.64 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which rose 1.16% to 33.96, Energiekontor AG (ETR:) which was up 1.00% to settle at 70.50 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which gained 0.89% to close at 86.56.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which was down 10.71% to 23.43 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which lost 2.84% to settle at 4.99 and Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:) which was down 2.78% to 34.32 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 404 to 227 and 25 ended unchanged.
Shares in HelloFresh SE (ETR:) fell to 3-years lows; down 22.40% or 4.60 to 15.92. Shares in Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.80% or 2.10 to 118.75.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.56% to 13.87 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.11% or 21.75 to $1,986.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.77% or 3.66 to hit $73.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 4.51% or 3.66 to trade at $77.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.29.
