Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the declined 0.57%, while the index climbed 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the were Alstom SA (EPA:), which rose 4.40% or 0.53 points to trade at 12.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Capgemini SE (EPA:) added 1.57% or 2.75 points to end at 177.75 and Sanofi SA (EPA:) was up 1.40% or 1.17 points to 84.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (EPA:), which fell 2.89% or 0.41 points to trade at 13.78 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:) declined 2.69% or 11.05 points to end at 399.10 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) was down 2.64% or 1.65 points to 60.96.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:) which rose 9.66% to 2.27, Vallourec (EPA:) which was up 5.20% to settle at 13.15 and Alstom SA (EPA:) which gained 4.40% to close at 12.57.
The worst performers were Clariane SE (EPA:) which was down 11.65% to 2.79 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:) which lost 5.68% to settle at 5.28 and Verallia (EPA:) which was down 3.66% to 31.60 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 285 to 223 and 102 ended unchanged.
Shares in Clariane SE (EPA:) fell to all time lows; falling 11.65% or 0.37 to 2.79.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.10% or 21.55 to $1,985.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 4.77% or 3.66 to hit $73.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 4.48% or 3.64 to trade at $77.54 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.00% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 104.29.
