Sarah Glascoe, a 43-year-old mum-of-seven from Manchester, has revealed how she’s become ‘happier than I’ve been in years’ after losing 2.5 stone with the help of Simple, an AI-powered wellness app that’s aiming to change the way people approach weight loss. Glascoe explains that after having her first child at 18, the weight slowly started to creep on with each pregnancy.

“Despite being a busy mum and trying countless diets and fitness plans, nothing ever worked long term,” she says. That was until one evening in July 2025, when she discovered the Simple app and decided to give it a try.

Simple is designed to support realistic, science led lifestyle changes rather than extreme dieting. The app has helped millions of users build healthier habits and now for a limited time, shoppers can save 60% off Simple Weight Loss plans using the code REACH60.

The offer includes access to personalised daily workouts, expert nutritional guidance and Avo – the app’s built in AI wellness coach that offers real time advice and motivation 24/7. Glascoe is testimony to this as within her first week of using the app, after weighing 14 stone, she dropped five pounds and noticed a boost in her energy.

“To date, I’ve now lost 36 pounds and dropped three dress sizes,” she explains. “I now love shopping for clothes again! Under my GP’s advice, I’ve reduced my blood pressure medication and stopped taking cholesterol tablets altogether. I’m sleeping better, feeling healthier inside and out, and happier than I’ve been in years.”

How the app works is after completing a detailed onboarding survey, users receive personalised coaching, including food logging (by text, voice, or photo), an intermittent fasting tracker and a NutriScanner, which helps nutritional values in meals at home or while dining out. Simple also generates custom seven day workout plans tailored to each user’s goals and fitness level from strength training and cardio to gentle chair yoga.

The app’s intelligent assistant, Avo, then acts as a personal wellness coach, providing instant answers to questions about recipes, workouts and healthy habits. Glascoe says that she used the fasting with the app and it became a part of her everyday routine. “I naturally started making healthier choices, and the weight kept coming off. Soon, I could walk farther without needing my asthma inhaler, and exercise began to feel easier and more enjoyable,” she says.

“I’m sleeping better, feeling healthier inside and out, and happier than I’ve been in years,” she says. “I still have one stone to lose before reaching my goal – but I know fasting will remain a part of my life for good.”

For an alternative, there’s Noom, a weight loss platform that focuses on mindful eating rather than strict diets. Highly scientific, Noom offers a lot of support to clients, saying they create ‘fun’ personalised courses with pricing depending on the plan and the individual. There is also MyFitnessPal which is a calorie tracker designed to help people meet their targets and track their nutritional intake and costs around £15.99 a month, but there are also some free sections available on the app.

Those who are using Simple shared their views on Trustpilot, with one person saying: “I am enjoying the app. The coach gives positive advice, comments and useful tips to make the journey easier to follow the plan. Blinky, is very sweet and encourages when you take good decisions, and strict when deviating from the best path. It is easy to track your actions. There’s nothing be thing needs attention. Is important to be able to go back and correct when logging info.”

Another wrote: “So far so good. I’ve lost 5lbs. Eating healthy is the keep and hitting you burning stage.”

A handful of others deducted a star and said: “Too many notifications during the day.”

Overall, the response was great as this person wrote: “The program and especially the app were perfect for me. I’ll be 70 years this month(Nov.) It was easy to follow. 28 pounds off since July 1st. More flexibility and stamina. I am enjoying the journey.”
