A three-year-old girl has died following a horror collision between a tram and van that ground central Manchester to a halt this morning.
The young girl died after a Mercedes-Benz van collided with a Metrolink tram that was travelling through the city this morning as she walked along Mosley Street.
Greater Manchester Police said they were in attendance at the scene following the incident, which has all but completely stopped traffic in the centre.
