Police have launched an investigation after a man was sexually assaulted by another man at a popular lake.
The victim was reportedly sat on a bench at Gloucester Boating Lake in Gloucestershire, when a man approached and sat down next to him.
The man alleges that the suspect then winked at him, made a sexualised comment and touched his thigh before leaving when asked to do so.
The incident took place between 12.50pm and 1.20pm on November 25. The suspect was described as being white, aged in his 20s, around 5ft 9ins tall and had dark/brownish hair which was short above the ears and long on top. He was wearing black trainers with white stripes and dark clothing.
A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “It was reported that a man was sat on a bench at Gloucester Boating Lake when a man approached and sat down next to him.
“The victim stated that suspect then winked at him, made a sexualised comment and touched his thigh before leaving when asked to do so.
“Enquiries are continuing and investigating officers are now asking anyone who witnessed what happened or who was in the area at the time to make contact with them.”
Officers have called on any witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.
