Emergency services rushed to the scene between the junctions for Denton and Ashton-under-Lyne amid reports of a ‘concern for welfare’.
A stretch of the motorway was fully closed off in both directions as police and paramedics responded to the incident at around 8.30pm on Monday evening (June 15).
