A man was left gobsmacked after he bought a Too Good To Go bag from Harrods and opened up the contents, only to find that the amount he got was absolutely wild
Too Good To Go is a fantastic way to save money on food that would’ve otherwise ended up in the bin. You can get some serious bargains on there, and try food you may not have had the chance to because it was too expensive.
That’s why one man decided to buy a Too Good To Go bag from Harrods, so he could sample some of the finer things in life for a much more reasonable price.
Carmie, who posts on TikTok as @touchdalight, shared his £20 haul, saying that he was “actually really surprised” at all the food he managed to bag.
The savvy shopper stuck his hand into the bag to see what he could pull out, first getting a “mini Christmas picnic roll set,” which was packed full of different fillings. The box, if you bought it over the counter, would’ve cost a whopping £15, so he’d almost made his money back immediately.
There were also three sandwiches – prawn cocktail, cheese and pickle and the mosr festive option of pigs in blankets. Carmie said these would’ve been a “10 out of 10” if there hadn’t been so much leftover bread at the end of the butties.
Next up, he pulled out a donut, which he said was “beautiful”. He adored it even though he’s not normally a fan of chocolate. Apparently, the “little gold crumbly things” made the donut a “10 out of 10”.
“You know it’s boujee when it comes in one of these boxes,” Carmie said as he pulled out the next delicious food item, which was a S’mores cookie.
“The marshmallow on it is so soft, it pulls like a cheese pull,” he gushed, ranking it a 10 again, because he was seriously impressed with the haul.
He then pulled out some “very beautiful” looking French fancies, saying that the details on them were “actually so cool”. The foodie rated these a “nine out of 10”, noting that the flavour of the lemon one was pleasant and not too overpowering.
Carmie then grabbed a scone, saying it looked “kinda boring”. However, looks can be deceiving because he said it “tastes good”. The only thing he wishes is that it came with cream and jam, naturally!
Then, there was a huge piece of red velvet cake, which he described as “so soft and moist”. Speaking about the sweet treats at the luxury department store, he added: “I think it’s the best thing about Harrods”.
In the comments, someone said that for “£20 the bag is well worth it”. After all, he got a lot of goodies inside and managed to eat more than £20-worth of items.
Another said: “Definitely worth it. The cake at the end matched your T-shirt!” And a third added: “Well worth it, everything looked delicious.”
