A man was found dead in a car following an incident being investigated as a suspected murder. Threemen have been arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident in Tredegar town centre, Blaenau Gwent.
A 36 year old man was found dead after reports of “a physical altercation” at some point between 10pm on Friday and 2am on Saturday, based on initial investigations by Gwent Police.
Police later confirmed the 36-year-old had been found dead in a car on Saturday morning, WalesOnline reports.
Three men, aged 18, 19, and 51, all hailing from Tredegar, are being held in police custody having been arrested on suspicion of murder. “The family of the victim is being supported by specialist officers,” a force spokesperson confirmed.
Detective Chief Inspector Robin Fuller stated: “We are in the early stages of this investigation, and I offer my thoughts to the family of the victim.
“We’re working to establish the full circumstances and are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who was in the area of Castle Street, opposite the Castle Hotel and Jem’s jewellery, between 1am and 2am on Saturday.
“If you have dash-cam footage this could also help our investigation so please get in touch.”
“Our officers remain in the Tredegar area as they continue to gather evidence and if you have any questions or information, then please do speak to them.”
