A 22-year-old man has tragically died after a van crash in central London led to an air ambulance being called to the scene.
Metropolitan Police were called to a road traffic collision between a van and a pedestrian on Turkey Street in Enfield at 6.18am on Friday, February 6. Police, alongside London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance, attended the scene.
A 22-year-old man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he sadly died.
The force said his next of kin has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
“Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident and our investigation remains ongoing,” a spokesperson for the force said in a statement.
The driver stopped at the scene and has been assisting police with enquiries. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
“We continue to review all footage as part of our enquiries and are now asking the public to come forward with any relevant information that could assist us,” the spokesperson said.
