Police search teams said nine-year-old Jacub was last seen in Sandwell, in the West Midlands, wearing the video game shirt on top of a black tracksuit at around 5am today

Police launched an urgent search for a young boy last seen wearing a Minecraft t-shirt, enlisting help from the general public after he disappeared.

People were urged to call 999 this evening following the disappearance of nine-year-old Jacub, who was last in Sandwell, the West Midlands, when hewent missing this morning at around 5am. Investigators said the youngster was wearing a video game shirt at the time and a black tracksuit, and police have asked the public for help in finding him. Sandwell Police said in an appeal released today: “Have you seen Jacub, aged 9, who’s missing from Sandwell?

Police representatives added: “Jacub was last seen at 05:00 18/05/2025, wearing a black tracksuit and a Minecraft T-shirt.”

Police had earlier asked anyone who believed they had seen Jacub has been asked to call police on 999 and quote the log 2445-180525.

Sandwell Police confirmed in a follow-up post this evening that the young boy was found, and thanked the public for sharing their appeal.

Representatives for the department said in an update post on X, formerly Twitter: “Great news. Missing Jacub has been found. Thanks for your shares.”
