A busy motorway has been plunged into chaos this morning with a large stretch of the road closed as commuters head to work.
Drivers are facing long queues on the M8 eastbound in Glasgow – Scotland’s busiest motorway – between junctions 18 and 15. It comes after the road closed overnight following roadworks which have overrun, causing it to remain closed this morning.
There is currently no access to the route from junction 16 Craighall, junction 18 Charing Cross, and junction 19 Anderston.
