A teenager has died in a horror crash on the M65 that left three others hospitalised.
Lancashire Police have confirmed that a 17-year-old girl died following the crash early this morning, with three other teens taken to hospital with “serious injuries”. Emergency services rushed to the scene on the M65 following reports of a collision that involved at Seat Ibiza, with personnel arriving at around 3.30am.
The crash caused lengthy delays for commuters travelling during rush hour, with diversions taking them along local roads like the A671 via Padiham and A6068. Both traffic arteries experienced significant congestion as police and medics raced to the scene, with officers now confirming that one girl involved in the crash was pronounced dead after she was taken to hospital.
