The TV presenter has been off screens since undergoing surgery earlier this month, but before that she took part in what might be her strangest interview yet

TV legend Lorraine Kelly has taken on perhaps her most bizarre role to date as she prepares to return to our screens after undergoing surgery – all aboard a vivid orange ‘milk float’. Expected to be back delighting viewers from next week, the beloved presenter connected with none other than Angus McLean, famously known as the ‘Nessie Milker’, who has recently launched a mission to bring his unique ‘Nessie Nectar’ across the UK in his milk-float.

McLean recently found viral fame after sharing insider glimpses of his ‘Nessie Nectar’ venture at Loch Ness, where he concocts an unusual new twist on Scotland’s favourite soft drink, IRN-BRU.

Now, McLean is setting off from the iconic Scottish loch to share his limited-edition Nessie Nectar flavour, IRN-BRU XTRA, with enthusiasts around the country.

Lorraine couldn’t hide her excitement over the one-of-a-kind interview, commenting: “Oh, what a treat it was to meet Angus as he sets off on his big UK tour.”

She went on to say: “Hearing all about his time working with one of Scotland’s most famous legends was just magical.”

The TV star urged fans to watch out for the remarkable Nessie-themed float as it journeyed through the UK and reminded them to arrange their special deliveries while Angus is travelling.

Kelly, 65, recently underwent survey surgery on May but has assured her Instagram followers that her recovery was progressing well.

Earlier in the week, she shared an intimate update from her bed, stating that spending time with her granddaughter Billie was ‘the best medicine ever’.

Before her operation, Lorraine even managed a hop onto the mythical creature-inspired float, loaded with eye-catching cans of the exclusive beverage and whimsically adorned with Nessie’s signature humps and tail.

The new Legend Editions 330ml cans also include a Unicorn Tears flavour, with tears supposedly farmed from Unicorns themselves.

IRN-BRU was originally launched to an original secret recipe in 1901 in Scotland, and has been a national favourite ever since.

Kenny Nicholson, head of brand at IRN-BRU, said: “McLean & Sons have been tugging on Nessie’s teat for centuries so it’s finally time to share her juicy nectar with the rest of the UK.

“Who better than Lorraine Kelly to help kick off the tour?”

To be in with a chance of catching a glimpse of the float and tasting Nessie’s Nectar, fans simply need to send a text to McLean & Son’s hotline on 07955 583726.
