Several fire crews were dispatched to a blaze between busy London railway stations.
The London Fire Brigade said that three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to train track fire between Queen’s Road Peckham and South Bermondsey railways stations on the night of Tuesday, January 13.
The crews were fighting the blaze above arches, the brigade said.
Passengers were evacuated from Queen’s Road Peckham Railway station and there were no reports of injuries.
“Trains have been stopped in both directions and the power on the tracks has been isolated to allow fire crews to gain access to the track,” the fire brigade said.
“The fire was a very visible blaze.”
