Shark’s FlexStyle Multistyler Air Styler and Hair Dryer gives off ‘no extreme heat’

Styling our hair is almost always the most time-consuming part of getting ready for a night out or dinner date. After the makeup is done, reaching for both a hairdryer and curling tongs or straighteners can send the clock ticking, and before you know it, two hours have vanished, and the race is on.

But Shark, the tech giant renowned for its vacuum cleaners amongst other products, has come up with the answer with its FlexStyle Multistyler Air Styler and Hair Dryer, which combines both tasks into one, slashing getting-ready time in half – not to mention drastically reducing hair damage.

Better still, while it’s ordinarily a considerable investment typically retailing at £299.99, its 5-in-1 styler is currently discounted on Amazon in a limited-time deal, bringing the price down to £159.98. This undercuts SharkNinja’s own price of £199.99 from £299.99.

The styler arrives with five different attachments – alongside an extension purely for drying hair – including two auto-wrap curlers (one for each direction), a paddle brush, oval brush (for a voluminous, bouncy blowout), a smoothing concentrator, and a diffuser – perfect for those with curly hair.

Crafted with impressive Coanda technology – also found in Dyson’s celebrated Airwrap Origin multi-styler and dryer (£299.99), which reportedly was the first to use this Coanda tech – the curling attachments automatically wrap, curl and set hair with minimal to ‘no heat damage’.

The Shark device measures heat 1,000 times per second, ensuring consistently regulated air temperatures — eliminating the risk of extreme heat that has frequently been an issue with ceramic-plated stylers, such as straighteners. That said, brands like ghd have taken steps to better protect hair, with its original hair straighteners, £149, operating at 185°C for styling ‘with no extreme heat damage’, reports the Liverpool Echo.

A growing number of other brands have also begun integrating air-styling technology into their products, ditching traditional plates or tongs, including Cloud Nine’s new Airshot Pro Volumisers, £99 — curling attachments designed for the brand’s Airshot Pro hairdryer, which is sold separately.
