Constipation is a problem for 19 per cent of Brits, says health brand Wild Dose, and many over-the-counter solutions can lead to a host of unpleasant side effects. Pharmacy remedies like laxatives can cause an upset stomach, cramps, diarrhoea and bloating.

However, Wild Dose – the brand famous for its viral debloating remedy – has introduced an ‘all natural’ overnight constipation relief formula that’s said to eliminate these nasty side effects. It’s also currently available with a 10 per cent discount if you use TRYBB10 at checkout.

The affordable solution, aptly named A Dose For Blocked Bellies, is made with magnesium and herbs they say are proven to aid regularity. The vegan and gluten-free capsules are described as ‘gentle on the tummy’, with no unpleasant side effects and won’t make your body dependent on them.

Wild Dose trialled its product on 163 adults suffering from constipation over a two-week period prior to launch. According to the results posted on its website, 89 per cent of users found it ‘as effective or more effective than drug equivalents, without the uncomfortable side effects’.

Taking the capsules is easy, with instructions advising to take two with a full glass of water before bed to feel the effect in the morning. Some users have reported that it can take longer for the remedy to take effect, but others have said they ‘set to work immediately’.

A Dose For Blocked Bellies has garnered more than 250 five-star reviews, with users praising its effectiveness ‘without the nasty side effects of bloating and cramps’, reports Wales Online. One satisfied customer was overjoyed, sharing: “Life Changing! I have IBS and this has changed everything, my tummy is so much happier! I just take one pill before bed most nights.”

Echoing the positive sentiment, another user reported: “Amazing. After being miserable and constipated the tablets have worked wonders. They set to work immediately but without the cramps and unpleasant side effects of a regular laxative. I’m taking the other supplement at the same time and I’m feeling much more comfortable. I’m hoping that the combination of the two will be a game changer.”

A third contributor praised the product highly, saying: “Best product I’ve ever used. I’ve experienced a blocked belly for the past 11 years, have been in and out of the doctors and tried everything under the sun to manage it. It’s always resulted in bad habits and using products that aren’t sustainable [or] damage my gut. This has been an absolute life saver! I can finally manage my time of the month better, feel good on holiday and just know that these will always work. They don’t feel harsh at all but they also actually work really well.”

However, it wasn’t all glowing reviews as one user offered a more moderate view: “Had high hopes from the reviews but found this to only be OK. Helped ease some pain though.”

A Dose for Blocked Bellies is available from Wild Dose, priced at £8.50 with a subscription offer or a one-time purchase of 20 capsules for £10. Shoppers can also avail a 10 per cent discount using the code TRYBB10.

Wild Dose is also recognised for its popular anti-bloating remedy. We at The Mirror reviewed it last year and shared their experience:

Wild Dose’s A Dose For Bloating Review

Bloating has been a constant struggle for me since I was twelve. It’s something many people, especially women, can relate to, whether it’s a ‘food baby’ post-meal or severe painful bloating. The symptoms vary greatly from person to person.

Finding a ‘remedy’ to help with these symptoms often takes time as not everything works the same for everyone. I was diagnosed with coeliac disease in my first year of university.

While most of my symptoms are due to this, I still occasionally struggle with bowel-related issues which can be attributed to my menstrual cycle, stress levels, and fatigue.

As a result, I’ve become very cautious of what I put in my body, and at risk of damaging my gut further, I now take a sceptical route towards any new food, drink, and even supplements. After looking into the natural remedies from Wild Dose I’ve found something that’s eased my bloating symptoms.

Each body is different, which is why I will never say these are the next best thing for everyone to try, but after taking two doses a day for a whole week I’ve felt an improvement in the way I feel.

The Wild Dose tablets are filled with natural ingredients including plant extracts, probiotics and digestive enzymes, which can regularly be found on the homoeopathic shelves of Holland and Barrett too. The ‘A Dose For Bloating’ tablets includes the digestive enzyme from Papaya, ‘Papain’ as well as Cellulase and Bromelain.

The supplements also include ingredients that may already be well known to those who suffer from tummy issues; turmeric, peppermint leaf extract, dandelion root and burdock root, all herbal ingredients that are tied in with the of ease tummy pains and help the body naturally detox.

When I looked at the ingredients on the back of the packet I was reassured to see peppermint leaf extract there as it’s something that has worked well for me in the past. And even when not taking peppermint oil tablets, a mug of peppermint tea at night always seems to help me (even if only slightly at times).

How I felt after seven days

After receiving the supplements, I began taking two each day just before lunch. There was no specific reason for this timing; it simply suited my routine.

I already have medication for when my stomach becomes severely irritated, so my aim with the Wild Dose supplements wasn’t to alleviate pain but rather as a preventative measure to help my body and nip symptoms in the bud before they worsen.

At first, the changes were subtle. In fact, on the first day, I didn’t feel any different and experienced my usual post-lunch bloating (which could be due to various factors).

However, a couple of hours after taking them on the second day, I felt significantly more comfortable.

I observed that my stomach wasn’t as bloated as it usually is after meals, and while the bloating didn’t completely disappear, I didn’t experience any pain.

On days three, four, and five, my experience was similar to day two – no discomfort, but occasional minimal bloating. A significant positive change for me was the increase in energy levels; overall, I felt less fatigued than usual.
