The Lidl beauty box, which contains 20 full-size products including skincare, haircare and fragrances, went on sale at 10am this morning – but some people were left disappointed
Lidl shoppers were left fuming today after its £2 beauty box that contains £70 worth of products sold out in seconds.
The box, which contains 20 full-size products from the supermarket’s own-brand Cien range, including skincare, haircare and fragrances, went on sale at 10am this morning. But shoppers today complained that the boxes sold out almost instantly – with some already being listed on eBay for £50.
In a post on Twitter/X, one unhappy customer said: “Lidl beauty box sold out and resellers hiking the prices.” Another said: “Did ANYONE manage to get the #LidlBeautyBox? It was a genuine promotion by Lidl but nobody seems to have managed to get a box?” A third posted: “First of the eBay scalpers have listed the @LidlGB Lidl Beauty Box and for £50.00 absolute joke.”
The Mirror has asked Lidl how many boxes it had for sale and we’ll update this article when we get a response. The most expensive item in the box is the £9.99 facial cleansing brush, while it also included Cien Myramaze Premium day and night creams that normally cost £7.49 each. All proceeds from the sale of the boxes are going to Lidl’s charity partner, NSPC.
