Rodial has launched its summer sale, with some of its best-selling products now massively reduced – including a skincare kit that includes Princess Kate’s rumoured moisturiser of choice
Whether she’s out on royal duties, glammed up for an awards show or simply strolling with her children, Kate Middleton, always looks flawless – with a complexion to match. To help create this glowing base, the Princess of Wales is allegedly a fan of premium beauty brand Rodial (according to HELLO! magazine), whose anti-ageing formulas have left shoppers in awe of the results. And shoppers can now get her rumoured go-to moisturiser for £41 – instead of its usual eye-watering £750 price tag.
Like many beloved retailers, the brand has just launched its summer sale with some of its best-selling products, kits and formulas massively reduced – including the 24 Carat Bee Venom Kit, which contains the famous Bee Venom and Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème (reportedly, one of Kate’s favourite moisturisers).
Now £125, it’s had 84% knocked off its original price of £805. The kit comprises two products in addition to the royal-approved crème – a Bee Venom Hydrogel Face Mask and Bee Venom Eye Cream Mini. With each product costing £20 and £35 respectively, this drops the cream’s value in this bundle to £70 – which, considering it’s total costs on its own, is pretty impressive.
As the name of this set suggests, the hero ingredient in this trio is bee venom. The brand explains: “Ethically derived Melittin peptides from bee venom work synergistically with our innovative ingredients to smooth, firm, and plump your skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance.”
The much-loved Bee Venom and Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème also contains BIO‑PROTEINOL, a ‘patented extract from bovine (cow) placenta’. This ingredient not only allows for a more breathable formula, but it helps skin stay moisturised, while enhancing the absorption of other active products. For those who want to purchase the creme alone, it’s also on sale from £750 to £115.

The 24 Carat Bee Venom Kit from Rodial is now on sale with 84% off. It contains the brand’s bestselling Bee Venom + Placenta 24 Carat Gold Ultimate Crème, Bee Venom Hydrogel Face Mask and Bee Venom Eye Cream Deluxe.
With these ingredients, it’s safe to say the Rodial set is not vegetarian or vegan friendly, so for something that fits that bill, the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream is a safe bet. It is formulated without any animal-derived ingredients and is certified as a vegan-friendly product in the Charlotte Tilbury skincare line. At £79, the cream features waterlocking technology, niacinamide, biopeptide complex, and leaves skin with a dewy, glass-like, fresh water glow.
The Rodial creme also comes packed with amino acids, vitamins B and E, and minerals to support overall skin balance. As for the Hydrogel Face Mask, it’s designed to revive dull, tired-looking skin with an instant cooling sensation. Plumping and smoothing ingredients like collagen, hyaluronic acid and red algae help leave the complexion looking fresher, brighter and refreshed. Meanwhile its ethically sourced bee venom melittin peptides help to visibly lift and smooth the skin.
Concocted with bee venom, haloxyl, vitamin C and P-Cell, the brand’s Bee Venom Eye Cream Mini is reportedly a gem for ironing out under eye wrinkles, brightening dark circles and, like its counterparts in the set, firming the skin.
Alternatively, Medik8’s Eyelift™ Peptides Age-Defying Firming Gel, £45, is a great option for those wanting something that’ll smooth out creases around the eyes – and a little more budget friendly at full size. It’s packed with a ‘unique complex of 5 age-defying peptides to visibly tackle all signs of ageing around the eyes’.
As a trio, this set pairs the brand’s cult-favourite moisturiser with the instantly refreshing Bee Venom Hydrogel Face Mask and Bee Venom Eye Cream Deluxe. Working in harmony, the three products together deeply hydrate, smooth and visibly firm the skin, and reportedly leave the complexion looking plumper, more radiant and beautifully refreshed.
While the kit itself hasn’t received an overwhelming amount of reviews – it’s had one five star rating which read: “I have been using these products for years – fabulous!” – lovers of the creme alone have shared glowing testimonials on its results. One said: “Great texture – lots of compliments since starting to use 2 months ago. A little pricey but wait until it’s on offer.”
Someone else added: “So, I’ve only been using it for 4 days and nights. But today at work a colleague who’s been on mat leave was in the office and greeted me with ‘how have I been away for a year but you look years younger’. I’ll take that!”
Another added: “The best cream I’ve ever used! Certainly taken a few years off my 57 year old face.”
Alongside its typical expensive price tag, one drawback some people experienced was that its smell wasn’t quite as enticing as the results. One two star review read: “Don’t like the smell and looks quite cheap for this cream with luxury ingredient…”
As for the face mask, many people cited how it ‘left my skin like glass’, with one user commenting: “The most incredible face mask I’ve ever used. Instant results. Poor minimized, skin felt tight and bright and my skin looked noticeable different immediately and I could see results for days afterwards. I’m obsessed.”
Someone else echoed: “This mask makes my skin look younger and I feel so refreshed.”
This trio isn’t the only thing discounted on the Rodial website. Not only does its ‘Outlet’ section have a range of discounts at shoppers’ disposal, but with the code SUMMER30, beauty fans can get 30% off selected products – the caveat is, it does not include, sadly, the Salmon DNA Water Oil, Kits and Outlet items.
For example, the popular Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel can be snapped up for £66.50 down from £95 with the use of the code (which is to be entered at the checkout). This best-selling weightless gel is made with a blend of actives including Collageneer®, Volufiline™ and glycerin to boost elasticity and collagen production, firmness and moisture levels.
Meanwhile the so-called dragon’s blood complex works to hydrate, plump and firm the complexion while offering healing and anti-inflammatory properties. In a clinical trial with 25 participants using the gel over 89 days, 80% saw smoother skin, while 92% experienced firmer skin – with 72% seeing a reduction in sagging.
For makeup fans, the brand’s beloved Banana Lowlighter is now £26.60 with the code, down from £38. Promising a ‘lit-from-within glow’, this product is an innovative ‘all-in-one colour corrector, complexion enhancer, and sheer but buildable, skin-like concealer’. Its cream-based formula features soft yellow undertones that help hide imperfections, while dimishing the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. While, of course, brightening the face’s high points.
While a number of reviews share how the price of the lowlighter puts them off this product, while on sale it’s a slightly less eye-watering investment. And it’s worth it for shoppers who have seen an improvement – as one five star review read: “Banana low lighter conceals age spots and blemishes and makes skin glow and natural looking.”
