The airline issued advice for passengers who need to pay the final balance for their booking

Jet2 has issued an online update regarding passenger payments. The carrier offered advice to passengers after a couple contacted the airline to ask about the possibility of split payments.

In a social media post, the airline explained that customers with fees due can split the cost across two payment cards. A traveller named Ross raised the question on X, where Jet2tweets often responds to queries from Jet2.com and Jet2holidays customers. Ross said: “Hello final balance on a holiday is due soon, can I split it between two cards (mine and the Mrs’)?”

In response, a Jet2 employee explained it would be no trouble for the passengers to spread the payment across their two cards. The airline wrote: “Hi Ross, yes you are able to do this.

“However, to make a payment over two cards you will need to do this manually via the app our with our pre-travel service team here: http://spkl.io/Jet2holidaysWhatsAppX. Thanks, Gemma.”

Ross replied: “Great, I’ll get it sorted this week, thanks.” Another social media user commented on the post sharing a tip. She said: “You can also pay in three payments via PayPal if you have an account.”

Jet2 shares information about its payment options on its website. The airline explains: “Ready to book? We’ve made it even easier for you to pay for your flights! You can do so online, over the phone, at our airport sales desk, or at your local independent travel agent.

“Online, you can pay using a credit card or debit card, or with PayPal (GBP or EUR) or why not break up the payments and buy now and pay later with PayPal Pay in three? This splits your flight booking into three, interest-free payments with no set-up fees.” The airline also offers group bookings for groups of ten or more.

In more Jet2 news, the airline recently shared advice for another passenger worried about passport control queues. Posting on X, the customer named Elaine Durrington wrote: “Jet2tweets Hi. We leave Faro for Liverpool on 19th April. Please could you advise what time we should arrive. We don’t need to check in any baggage. Thank you.”

The airline replied: “Hi Elaine, thank you for getting in touch. Our check-in desks open from two hours thirty minutes before standard departure time. Please feel free to check in from this time. I hope this helps. If there’s anything further we can assist you with, please do let us know. Thank you, Rachel.”

Continuing the conversation, Elaine said: “Hi Rachel. We don’t need to check in. I’m concerned that people departing Faro have been missing flights due to queues at passport control, which is why I was asking how early we should arrive – going straight to security.”

In response, Jet2 revealed there is ‘no strict rule’ for passengers. The airline said: “Hi Elaine, there isn’t a strict rule. If you arrive two to three hours before your flight, you can usually head straight through security with no issues. If you arrive much earlier, you might have to wait landside until your flight is closer to departure.

“In the instance that our teams are expecting congestion at your departure airport, our teams would contact you via SMS/email to further advise. We hope you have a lovely flight with us. Thank you, Rachel.”
