Jet2 is set to make check-in a ‘whole lot easier’ by potentially starting it the day before your flight. Jet2’s Twilight Check-in service, a unique offering at the departure terminal of just 10 airports across the UK, allows eligible passengers to drop off their bags a day before their flight and enjoy some extra freebies along the way.
The airline operator emphasised that this service is only available for certain individuals, but it will enable them to drop off their bags at the airport between 4:30pm and 9pm the day before their flight. This could significantly speed up the security and boarding process on your travel day, making it far less stressful.
Birmingham Live highlighted that the process only requires one person to drop off the bags for up to six people. This could be particularly beneficial for families who won’t have to juggle looking after their children and handling all their luggage as they navigate the airport on flight day.
Luggage that often causes stress and frustration at the airport, such as sports equipment, can be checked in the day before via Twilight Check-In too. Those using the service can also take advantage of other perks, like discounted or free parking at seven of the eligible airports, and the entire Twilight Check-in process is free as well.
The aim of the service is to simplify “your morning a little bit easier”, especially for those residing near or staying in a hotel at the airport, by eliminating one significant task from their pre-flight checklist. However, there are certain terms and conditions to adhere to.
To take advantage of this convenient check-in process, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Your flight must be scheduled before noon
- You need to have checked in online anytime from 28 days up to 24 hours prior to your flight
- You must possess passports, boarding passes, and all other vital documents for each individual travelling with you
- You should be flying from one of the 10 airports that are eligible for this service
Jet2’s Twilight Check-in service is offered at the airline’s standard check-in counters at the following airports:.
