Retinol had always been on my radar, but I’d had a few bad experiences—think red, irritated skin that felt drier than ever. I’d almost given up on it when I found Crystal Retinal 6 from Medik8. It uses retinaldehyde, which is a gentler, but incredibly effective form of vitamin A. So, it’s like retinol, but it’s actually one step closer to the active form that really gets to work on your skin.

If there’s one thing I never skip in the morning, it’s vitamin C. The C-Tetra Cream has become my favourite daily moisturiser for a reason: it’s gentle, it works and it makes my skin look so much more alive. To get technical, it uses a stable form of vitamin C (tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, to be exact) that brightens and protects without causing any stinging or irritation.
