Shopping writer Lauren has found a solution that doubles up as skincare and makeup for tackling redness

Now that I’m in my 30s, I take care of my skin more than ever, and for the most part, it looks great (if I do say so myself). However, redness has always plagued me, especially around my nose and chin, where it seems determined to persist, no matter how consistently I follow my skincare routine.

A couple of products have helped to calm it down, but I longed for an instant fix. Enter Rosalique, a beauty brand that has built its reputation on tackling redness head-on.

Its bestselling 3-in-1 Miracle Formula Colour Corrector (£28.99) piqued my interest with its bold claim: to conceal redness, even out skin tone, and help reduce irritation over time. The treatment emerges as a green cream, which, while a bit disconcerting at first, actually works hard to neutralise redness.

But how would it fare on my own skin? Let’s find out.

My honest review ofRosalique‘s3 in 1 Miracle Formula Colour Corrector

Although I expected the green tint, I was still taken aback – it’s very green. I applied it over my trusty Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser (great for glow, not so much for covering redness), and at first the minty colour sat on my skin looking downright odd.

The Miracle Formula works hard to conceal redness with its unique microencapsulated technology.

A few extra strokes with my brush and a quick tap with my fingertips later, though, and the transformation was instant. The green blended seamlessly into my skin tone, and the redness was gone.

It’s buildable too, so I was able to layer it where I needed more coverage without it looking cakey. The finish is natural, not heavy, and it even worked when I had fake tan on, adjusting to my deeper tone.

I focused it around my problem areas (nose, mouth, chin), but also dabbed some under my eyes. It helped to brighten and make me look more awake. By the time I’d applied my bronzer, blusher and setting powder, my base was done and my skin looked flawless.

Rosalique also promises long-term results when used daily, reducing redness within four to eight weeks. And after a couple of months, I’ve definitely noticed a difference.

To be fair, I’ve also added Paula’s Choice Milky Toner to my routine, which helps calm sensitive skin, so I can’t give Rosalique all the credit. But the immediate effect is undeniable, and on days when my skin looks irritated, it’s the first thing I reach for.

Another big plus is its staying power. I tucked it into my handbag expecting to need top-ups, but I rarely have to reapply. It usually lasts all day without sliding off.

But at £28.99, it isn’t the cheapest colour corrector out there. Beauty Pie’s Superluminous Redness Corrector retails for £20, for instance, while the 17. Colour Correct Enhancing Concealer costs a mere £3.

However, given that it doubles as skincare and genuinely delivers on both instant and long-term results, the 3-in-1 Miracle Formula Colour Corrector is well worth a try. It’s available via Amazon here.
