From free full-sized products to discounted gift sets, here’s how to get an incredible saving at Clinique this Black Friday
Clinique has kicked off its Black Friday offerings early this year, offering customers up to 30% off sitewide. However, we’ve found a way to strategically stack a number of the offers to maximise savings, with over £100 worth of freebies up for grabs.
Clinique is renowned for their dermatologist-developed, fragrance free skincare and viral makeup products, such as their Black Honey Almost Lipstick. This sale offers a great opportunity to restock the bathroom cabinet, or snag some Christmas presents for a fraction of their usual price.
From limited-edition sets, high-value freebies and free delivery, I’ve taken a look at all of the offers available, and how best to stack them to get the most bang for your buck. Here’s what I’d be adding to my basket ahead of Black Friday.
First things first, I needed to be spending at least £55, that’s because shoppers who spend this amount can get a free full sized product of their choice at the checkout. With that in mind, I added the Clinique Fan Favourites Skincare and Makeup set to my basket.
The limited-edition set is currently one of the retailer’s star buys and most heavily discounted gifts. Worth £110, it was initially priced at £100, but is now down to £50.

A collection of Clinique skincare and makeup fan-favourites. This limited-edition set includes a full-size Moisture Surge face cream, bestselling High Impact Mascara and All About Eyes eye cream, plus a mini Take The Day Off makeup remover balm.
Inside, shoppers will find a collection of Clinique skincare and makeup bestsellers, including a full-size Moisture Surge face cream, High Impact Mascara and All About Eyes eye cream, plus a mini Take The Day Off makeup remover balm.
At £50, it doesn’t quite meet the minimum spend, so I then looked around for one of the cheapest items on the site to boost my total. This Makeup Brush Cleanser is one of the most affordable Clinique products at £11.63, down from £15.50 – and let’s face it, we all leave our makeup brushes too long between cleans, so it’s a good excuse to give them a refresh before party season.
Having met the £55 threshold for the free gift, I headed to the checkout where I was prompted to select my free full-sized product. There are a number of products to choose from, including a men’s face wash, and lip gloss, but the key to getting the biggest savings is to select the highest value freebie.
From what I was offered, the top picks were the Moisture Surge Overnight Mask, or the Moisture Surge 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator, both of which would usually set shoppers back £42 at full price.
The mask comes in a 100ml tube while the moisturiser is in a 30ml pot, which swayed me to opt for the former. Plus, with my basket, I’d have been doubling up had I gone for the moisturiser as it’s already included in the Fan Favourites gift set, so that’s worth keeping in mind when building your basket.
Overall, my basket would have cost £167.50 for the individual products, but with the deal stack, it came to £61.63 – a saving of over £100. Plus I bagged free delivery, which always sweetens the deal.
Elsewhere, some other great value beauty buys include the Boots Showstopper Beauty Box, priced at £90 but worth £448.06. The set boasts 26 high-performance favourites (including 16 full sizes) from the biggest names in skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrance.
OK! Beauty Box has released their new Christmas Beauty Gift Edit, worth over £375, available for less than £60. Inside, there are 10 products spanning make-up, skin, hair and wellness, eight of which are full-sized, including a luxurious £145 ‘Bee Venom’ eye cream from Rodial.
Meanwhile, beauty retailer LookFantastic has unveiled its Black Friday Edit – a limited-edition beauty box brimming with top picks across hair, skin and fragrance. Ideal for taking the panic out of November’s onslaught of deals, the set offers savings of over 65% on the RRP. Valued at £125, The Black Friday Edit is priced at £40 and includes seven beauty must-haves, six of which are full-sized.
Back at Clinique, as well as up to 30% off sitewide (excluding a number of gift sets), shoppers could opt to spend that little bit more to unlock more freebies. Customers can get a mini duo of the brand’s bestselling cleanser and anti-ageing moisturiser when they spent over £70.
Another deal worth considering is the Clinique Fan Favourites Ultimate Gift, which is worth £176 but can be purchased for £65 when spending £40 on other products. The downside here is that it’s not compatible with some of the other deals – for example, I couldn’t stack it with the gift set mentioned above.
Inside, there are six full-sized favourites, including the Dramatically Different moisturiser and Pink Honey lipstick. But this one is definitely better for those looking to purchase individual products, rather than value sets. That said, customers could still qualify for the full sized freebie with this set, so it’s certainly worth taking a look at.
