The jumpsuit made me feel confident thanks to its comfy and flattering design

I’ve always struggled to find a jumpsuit that fits me perfectly as I’m quite long in the body, but when I fell in love with a funky Joanie Clothing boilersuit online, I decided to take a gamble. I was first drawn to the jumpsuit because of its unique cowgirl pattern that’s unlike anything I’ve seen before.

I’m so glad I took the risk and ordered the new vintage-inspired Mork Western Print Short Sleeve Boilersuit, as it fits me like a glove. The fact I could zip it up was a great sign, but after I stood up straight and looked in the mirror, I couldn’t believe how flattering it was.

I’m usually quite self-conscious about my stomach, but the jumpsuit skimmed over it nicely and didn’t reveal any lumps or bumps, making me feel comfortable and confident. I was nervous to move and bend over at first in case I heard the dreaded tearing of the fabric, but as the boilersuit is made from sturdy yet flexible cotton fabric, I had nothing to worry about.

I tried on New Look’s autumn collection and bought four cosy items I’ll be wearing all season

I tried the new Bellissima hair dryer that’s ‘three times more powerful’ than traditional hair dryers

The jumpsuit costs £79 and is available in sizes eight to 26. It comes in several different patterns, including stars and flowers, but the black design with small cream cowgirl motifs all over it is without a doubt my favourite.

Cute hats, horse shoes, snakes, stars and more feature all over the western-themed boilersuit and its detachable fabric belt. The belt is perfect for cinching in your waist to give a flattering shape while remaining comfortable.

The jumpsuit has a classic collar with a silver zip-through front and cute short sleeves. It also has handy pockets at the sides and rear, perfect for keeping small essentials close by.

I recently wore the jumpsuit for the first time for a walk around my village and a trip to the local pub for its Oktoberfest celebrations. I got so many compliments from family members, friends and strangers, with relatives commenting on how slim I looked (thank you, Joanie Clothing). Others praised the pattern on the boilersuit and asked me where it was from.

As it was a sunny yet chilly autumn day, I paired the jumpsuit with a brown long sleeve top underneath, black platform converse and a beige crossbody handbag that matches the colour of the motifs on the garment. As the trouser legs are slightly cropped, they showed off the converse and didn’t trail on the muddy ground.

The only slight downside to the jumpsuit is the stiffness of the zip fastening which gets a little stuck midway down the garment, however I’m sure this will loosen over time the more I wear it – which will be a lot. I already can’t wait to put on the stunning Mork Western Print Short Sleeve Boilersuit again.

Fancy adding the jumpsuit to your wardrobe? You can buy it from Joanie Clothing here for £79. Jigsaw is selling a similar Denim Zip Front Jumpsuit that’s currently on sale for £132.

John Lewis has a plain black Romo Pocket Jumpsuit priced at £55.99. Neither of these alternatives, however, feature a funky cowgirl pattern like the Joanie Clothing version.
