The imaginative packaging containing the makeup and skincare products is the best I’ve seen
The Mirror has reviewed many fabulous Christmas beauty advent calendars this year, but it’s safe to say Benefit’s has earned the prize for the most imaginative packaging. The Gorgeous Grocer Beauty 24 Day Advent Calendar has 24 cute boxes contained in a funky pink plastic shopping basket.
The unique packaging literally had me gasping ‘oh my goodness’ as I removed the basket from the shipping box it arrived in. As much as I was excited to dive in and open each box, I couldn’t help admiring the basket for a good few minutes and immediately started planning in my head where I’ll display it in my bedroom and what I’ll store inside it.
The Benefit advent calendar contains some of the brand’s best-selling and must-have products that are worth £295.80. It usually retails for £165, however Debenhams is currently offering the calendar at a discounted price of £140.40, saving you a whopping £155 on the items inside.

Benefit has included a variety of makeup items, including bronzer, blusher, mascara and lip tints, as well as skincare products, which was a nice surprise as I was expecting there to be only makeup inside. There are four full-sized products in the calendar, including the BADgal Bang Mascara which I’m super excited to try.
There are also five minis – a bronzer and four blushes – that I was pleased to discover as I love wearing different shades on my cheeks, and the rest are deluxe sample sizes. I was slightly disappointed that there weren’t more full-sized products in the calendar considering the price, however as I don’t own many Benefit products, it’s a great way for me to try more of their range and then buy my favourites in full size.
