There’s a new air styling gadget on the block that’s £200 cheaper than the best-selling Dyson Air Wrap, and Shopping Writer Meghan has put it to the test on her short hair

If you’ve been coveting a hair gadget that makes curls or blow-outs quick and painless, but don’t fancy paying the £480 that a Dyson Airwrap would set you back by, I may have just the ticket. Relatively new to the world of air styling is this new device that makes blow drying, blow-outs, curls and evening straightening a breeze, especially if you have short hair like me.

I got my hands on the T3 Aire 360 Mult-Styler, and I haven’t looked back. Thanks to its four attachments, I can whisk my hair into any do I fancy, straight out of the shower. Especially with thin, short hair, this whiz creates perfect curls in a matter of minutes, and doesn’t leave my locks feeling frazzled or dry. What’s more, it’s over £200 cheaper than the top-dog Dyson device.

Coming with a luxe vegan-leather bag featuring several internal pockets for attachments, this air styler is ideal for use at home and on the go. The Aire 360 base boasts two simple-to-use settings: three fan speeds and four heat settings, including a cold blast that helps lock in your style when used directly after heat.

Powered by T3 Aire 360 Technology, this device utilises superior airflow wraps hair around the curling attachments to style blowout curls while promising zero heat damage. The extra-long ceramic curling attachments (left and right) harness high-performance heat to deliver long-lasting results, and despite their intimidating size, they’re super easy to use, even if you’re a novice at hair styling like me.

The custom-designed oval brush features SmoothGrip bristles and a ceramic surface for pro-level smoothing and shaping, making it great for creating larger, bouncier curls or even straightening in a matter of seconds. And the SoftAire drying concentrator delivers fast yet gentle drying that helps protect hair’s natural moisture.

All attachments pair with the Aire 360 base, engineered with a smart microchip for digital heat control and a high-speed AireX motor for our fastest drying yet. What’s more, despite using air to style your hair, this machine produces relatively quiet noise when in use, making it suitable for styling at all hours of the day if you live with others.

The airflow automatically wraps your hair around the curling attachments, meaning there’s little to no faff required to wrap your hair around the gadget, creating the perfect curl – this gadget will do it for you. This is especially handy if, like me, you have layers in your hair that can make it difficult to section or if you’re not adept at using curlers. This is one of the first air stylers I’ve used, as a novice hair curler myself, and I had created my dream curls in a matter of minutes.

The only downside I found is that, due to the device’s length, it can be awkward to hold in place for a long time. Plus, it’s a bit heavy (akin to your average hairdryer), which could make it a struggle to use for anyone with weaker arms or wrists.

That said, for the reduced hair damage and quick styling, this air styler has earned a spot in my regular hair styling routine, taking pride of place over my other curlers and hair dryers. My hair looks and feels smoother and shinier after use, and I’ve found the curls last from dawn to dusk, even without hairspray.

And in case you needed an incentive, this gadget currently retails for £249.99 on Amazon and at Next, making it over £200 cheaper than the Dyson Airwrap and even slightly more affordable than the top-selling Shark FlexStyle, which is currently selling for £269.99.

It isn’t just me who loves this T3 device; one buyer on Amazon bestows a 5-star rating, raving: “I cannot recommend this hair dryer enough. First it comes in a beautiful pouch/bag, very elegant and vegan leather. Inside are 4 heads, 2 for hair curling (left and right), a simple hair drying head (delicate air stream), and a hair volumising hair brush. It’s very light and comfortable to use. I am amazed at his easy it is to use the curler. Also, the hair dryer has a temperature setting, and the hottest setting is not too hot for the hair. There is also the setting of cold air to finish the curling process (this does not work for my hair, though, as my hair is straight in nature, so I need to finish curling with hot hair to keep the curls for longer). Overall, I recommend the hair dryer.”

Meanwhile, another buyer gives a solid 4 out of 5, writing: “I have been trying out this styler and it does a very decent job of drying and shaping hair without leaving it feeling frazzled. The different attachments click on easily and each one gives a slightly different finish. The oval brush lifts the roots nicely and leaves a smooth look, while the curling barrels are straightforward to use once you get the hang of the airflow. It feels well put together and the controls are simple enough to adjust mid style.”

They add: “The drying side of things is quick and less harsh than a standard dryer which is a big plus. It is not completely silent but the noise is no worse than others I have used. The results have been consistent and I like that it adds shine without needing to go over sections multiple times. It does take a bit of practice to use all the attachments effectively but once you get used to it the results are impressive.”
