Shopping writer Lucy Addicott tried some Monica Vinader jewellery out for style and these are her top picks for festive gifting
Nothing says Christmas quite like some sensational sparkles and dazzling diamonds, whether they be earrings, a necklace or a beautiful ring. The perfect way to finish an outfit off, gifting jewellery can be a really thoughtful and sentimental idea and it doesn’t have to cost the earth.
British jewellery brand Monica Vinader are best-loved for timeless styles, balancing affordability with high quality. Top quality and ethically sourced jewellery does come with a price, however, many of the Monica Vinader pieces are sub-£200, making them one of my favourite jewellery brands to browse for a special gift for a loved one.
With Christmas only a few weeks away, I took a trip to a Monica Vinader jewellers to try out some pieces for myself and see what I’ll be adding to the wish-list. From royal-loved accessories to birthstone bracelets and more, this Monica Vinader gift guide starts from £89, helping shoppers find a twinkling treat to leave under the tree.
While I heading instore to test the Monica Vinader jewellery, all items can be find online, and with next-day delivery for any last minute panic presents. Several of the pieces can also be personalised, with a complimentary online engraving service, alongside a gift wrapping service.
All Monica Vinader pieces are crafted from recycled gold and silver, plus the brand adheres to the Kimberley Process and uses traceable gemstone sources. Here are our favourite picks to gift for Christmas 2025 and beyond. Alternative jewellery brands that are well worth browsing ahead of festive gifting are Missoma, Abbott Lyon and Astrid & Miyu.
Siren Gemstone Wire Earrings – £140
Knowing Princess Kate has been pictured wearing the Monica Vinader Siren Wire Earrings, I couldn’t help but try them on myself. The royal owns the 18K gold vermeil and green onyx version, but shoppers can choose from other finishes (sterling silver or 18K rose gold vermeil), as well as four other stones (black onyx, rose quartz, amazonite and blue lace agate).
The drop earrings are more of a statement than I imagined, but that makes them even more special for gifting, in my opinion. They felt very comfortable to wear and while they may not be for daily wear, I can certainly see why Princess Kate has them in her collection.
Birthstone Bracelet and Necklace – from £89
Giving someone a piece of jewellery that features their birthstone is a lovely idea as it truly shows you’ve thought about them. Simple and dainty, the Monica Vinader birthstone collection could easily be worn everyday – and as they are made from 18K gold vermeil or sterling silver, they shouldn’t tarnish when wet.
The bracelet retails from £89 and the necklace from £90, making them an excellent option for those looking for a present under £100. Shoppers will have to a little bit of research before getting this gift to ensure the right month is selected, but once chosen, I adore the idea of getting it engraved for free on the website.
Nura Crossover Ring – £95
The Monica Vinader shopping assistant informed me the Nura Crossover Ring is one of the brand’s most popular pieces. Retailing for £95 in the sterling silver version, it boasts a beautiful cross design that makes it stand out from the crowd. I did find it difficult to layer over other rings, however, placed on its own and it looks perfect.
I also couldn’t help trying on the Nura Pave Diamond Crossover Ring, which is certainly a sight to behold. It costs more, priced at £280, but it has some serious shine to it that fellow magpies are sure to fall in love with.
Snake Chain Bracelet – £135
Sometimes, simplicity is key. This is especially important when not knowing the taste of a gift recipient but still wanting to get something they adore. Priced at £135, the 18K gold vermeil Snake Chain Bracelet is chic, elegant and sophisticated. The fastening is a little tricky (I had to get some help), but once it’s on, I didn’t want to take it off.
I love how shoppers can add charms to the bracelet, from a locket to a pearl, and the assistant pointed out to me the snake chain is a great option and its smooth finish won’t snag any clothing.
Scorpio Zodiac Chain Necklace – £150
I was instantly drawn to these star sign necklaces as they are so unique and like nothing I’ve ever seen before. At £150, they are on the higher end of the price scale, however, they are a timeless piece that the wearer will no doubt have for a lifetime. Plus, the necklace can be engraved for free, which adds an extra special touch.
I love the idea of layering this necklace with existing jewellery in someone’s collection, but it is important to note there is only one chain length available.
