The Reset and Renew beauty box contains 11 products for just £39.99, with seven full-sized items from brands including Revolution, Rodial and Aromatherapy Associates

There’s nothing I enjoy more than anticipating a parcel delivery, especially when it’s packed with beauty goodies. So, when offered the opportunity to try out OK!’s Reset and Renew Edit, valued at over £205, I leapt at the chance.

Despite its hefty worth, this bundle retails for £39.99 and includes eleven products, seven of which are full-sized. Beauty boxes are perfect for those seeking a payday indulgence or eager to experiment with new products.

I appreciate that anyone wishing to try a new brand can do so without committing to a large bottle, ensuring minimal waste of both precious money and products, I wrote when reviewing the box for MyLondon.

The box is designed to provide a comprehensive refresh, and as we step into February, I’m all set to do just that. It’s worth mentioning that one product alone exceeds the cost of the entire OK! box, and the edit encompasses everything from skincare and haircare to makeup.

Upon unboxing, my initial impressions are that it looks chock-full and the products appear generously sized – plus, it smells rather lovely too. I also appreciate that the products inside could be utilised by most people – for instance, the Aromatherapy Associates Rose Oil can be used in the shower as well as the bath, making it ideal for those without a tub.

Beyond allowing me to sample new products from some of my go-to brands such as Revolution and Rodial, the box also introduced me to brands I’ve heard plenty about but haven’t actually tested, like FUL and Brushworks. I was particularly curious about the KAB Cosmetics Loose Setting Powder due to its compact size for travelling – fortunately it comes in a translucent shade designed to suit all skin tones.

Other beauty boxes available include LookFantastic’s The February Beauty Box, valued at over £95 but priced at just £15, containing popular beauty picks from brands like Rituals and Avant. At Beauty Bay, skincare and haircare fans can snap up The Sweat and Reset Beauty Bag for £40, worth £154.

Returning to the OK! beauty box, one drawback is that the packaging arrives plain, and it would be a lovely extra touch if it featured decorative elements – though this is a minor point. As with all beauty boxes, those particular about their products may not use everything included, but unwanted items could easily be passed on to family and friends given their broad appeal.

One fan titled their review an ‘amazing box of goodies,’ writing: “I thought I’d take a chance on this box, I’m so glad I did. A nice little treat coming through the post mid week, really cheered me up.

“I’ve tried most of the items, and love everything I’ve tried. Absolute bargain of beauty items. Highly recommend.”

My standout items from the box are undoubtedly the Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Gel to ease my body after resuming my daily walks, and the Brushworks double-ended powder and buff brush, which will save considerable space in my makeup or travel bag thanks to its dual-ended design. For those wanting to indulge in a pamper session with the products, there’s also a voucher included for two free copies of OK! magazine.

While I’ll certainly be treating myself to some self-care with the skincare items in the edit, I’m eager to save some of the other products for my next holiday, as these are often difficult to source separately without splashing out.
