I loved Stacey Solomon’s ‘buttery soft’ leggings so much I tried the entire range

I’m such a fan I’ve already stocked up on the gym shorts, capris and more

TV presenter and Essex icon Stacey Solomon recently showed fans a stylish way to pair her favourite leggings with a smart blazer, creating a look that’s both chic and incredibly comfortable. As a fellow devotee of stretchy trews, I related immediately – and it turns out that I’m already the proud owner of the exact same pair (in fact, several pairs) that Stacey swears by.

The loungewear that’s won both our hearts is the Sinohpant High-Waisted Leggings from Amazon. Stacey was seen sporting a cheery pink pair, but the celeb shared on her socials that she already has them in ‘every colour under the sun’.

While I may not have strayed far from the practical black design myself, I can assure you that I have a whole drawer full of them and zero regrets. Such is my obsession that I tend to restock more than one pair at a time, with the 3-Pair Leggings Pack being excellent value.

With so many different brands available, locating the perfect combination of soft fabric, proper stretch and material that never becomes transparent is more difficult than it ought to be. According to Amazon, these delightful leggings pledge a ‘buttery soft material’ and ‘a broad waistband to smooth the stomach area and define the waist’.

I was genuinely impressed — the leggings are so soft while still keeping their shape perfectly with no sagging. The high-waisted, beautifully stretchy design sits comfortably up to my crop top without pinching, and the full-length fit – I’m 5’9″ – reaches my ankles with ease.

They come in a range of colours, including Stacey’s pink and my go-to black, and unlike flimsy high-street versions, they stay fully opaque through any bend or stretch. Designed to be figure-enhancing and supportive, they’re available in three sizes and make me feel confident and comfortable, which is exactly why I own more pairs than I care to admit.

But such is my obsession I’ve branched out to try other items from the same brand. As a big fan of a sweaty session on a spin bike, I often get my legs out and force them into some gym shorts.

The Sinophant High Waisted Cycling Shorts are made from the same fabric as the leggings and have a high waist for extra comfort. Available in a selection of colours, my fave is the three pack priced at £16.14 – that’s just £5.38 per pair.

I’m also fond of the High Waisted Capri 3/4 Length Leggings that are identical to the full length leggings, just shorter in the leg. Coming to below the knee, I find these are useful for warmer weather and also in the gym.

Available in all the a limited range of colours and sizes, the 3/4 lengths have 27% off right now, with prices starting from £6.54 for a single pair or £18.69 for a pack of three.

Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the High Waisted Leggings with Pockets, available from £8.49 a pair. Surprisingly, I don’t love these as much.

With a deep pocket in each side that is perfect for phones, membership cards and other skinny items, I find that the fabric feels thicker and somehow not as soft. They also have chunkier seams which make them look thicker.

For shoppers who aren’t on board with my love of the Amazon legging brand, there are lots of other retailers to choose from. Other brands I have discovered that come close include the Black Tummy Control Seamless Shaping Leggings from Next.

Available for a steeper £19 a pair, these are lengthy in the leg and elevated at the waist for a more comfortable fit. They come in a range of sizes and two different lengths. Alternatively, the Good Move High Waisted Leggings are my top picks for the gym. Stretchy and effortless to move in, they are £20 a pair at Marks and Spencer.

It’s not just me and Stacey singing the praises of these lovely Sinohpant High-Waisted Leggings. With a staggering 81,000 plus reviews on Amazon, one purchaser said: “The most comfortable leggings I’ve ever worn!”

Another shopper who absolutely loves these bestsellers explains: “Best leggings I’ve ever owned. Soft and comfy to wear. No pulling up all the time like other leggings. Good wide waist band for the tummy. Not see through and good thickness. So easy to wear and move about. You forget you have them on.”

A third called them ‘a steal’, adding: “Soft, not see-through and long enough for the tall girls!” However, one buyer was less impressed, noting: “Haphazard sizes. Ordered two pairs, different colours, one was a lot bigger then the other.”
