Brandon, 27, used to eat three takeaways a day and at his heaviest weighed more than 25 stone

A man has lost 8 stone – and counting – by combining Mounjaro jabs with one extreme exercise habit. Brandon Gee, 27, weighed 25st 5lbs and almost accepted he’d be dead before he was 30. He wore a size 5XL at his heaviest and would eat three takeaways a day, leaving him unable to walk for more than 15 minutes.

But after some of Brandon’s family members died from health-related issues, it kicked him into gear. He initially lost just under 4st by doing 10,000 steps a day, but when he gained some of the weight back, he turned to Mounjaro in January 2025. And by combining it with around 30,000 daily steps, he has managed to shift a further 7st 8lbs.

Now weighing 15st, he is able to run a 10km and is still losing weight. Brandon, a specialist cleaner from London, said: “It got to the point, where I didn’t think I was going to make it to 30 – I’d turned into a hermit.

“At what point does the heart just give up? With my life before, I suffered a lot, and I didn’t want to leave the house. Not wanting to do anything that involved being seen – it had a massive impact on my mental health. But now I feel a lot different.

“At first I didn’t feel different, but the more time has gone on I noticed little things. My anxiety has completely gone and now I want to enjoy myself, go on holiday and do things that I couldn’t do before. You feel trapped before but now I feel amazing and being able to spend time with my daughter.”

Before losing the weight, Brandon struggled so much that he would having breathing problems when lying down. He said: “I ended up becoming really bad with snoring – I would stop breathing in my sleep and that scared me. If I laid down to watch TV my breathing got really heavy.

“You don’t notice the weight sometimes. A lot of it stemmed from being home on a laptop with work. Getting comfortable with your habits and lots of takeaways – you don’t realise how bad it gets.”

In just over a year he lost 4st through exercise. But he ended up putting one back on and decided to get some extra help with the Mounjaro jab. He said: “I noticed it straight away. I was sceptical at first, but I took it in the morning, and I couldn’t finish my dinner that evening. I was still 22st at that point.”

As well as that, Brandon upped his exercise and which he says was key to him getting some confidence back. He added: “I’ve still had to do 30,000 steps a day and I go to the gym five days a week. I’ve had a strict diet and people start Mounjaro and expect it to be magic.

“At the start my exercise was based around work and I slowly noticed I was having to sit down less. Now I’m doing a 10k which is something I never thought I could do after not being able to walk for 15 minutes. Over that time, it allowed me to go the gym and get my confidence back – I was worried at first.”

Throughout his weight loss, Brandon has shared his journey on TikTok in the hopes of inspiring others. He said: “Other people have been motivated by my videos to make a change and I wish I had someone at the time who was honest with me.

“People weren’t honest and there are so many people nowadays who feel so alone so I want to share my journey. Yes, I use Mounjaro, but I genuinely think it will change so many lives – I think it will be revolutionary. This why I’m such an advocate for helping others is you don’t realise how trapped you feel.”

He started on 2.5mg for two months, went to 5mg for four months and two weeks ago increased to 7.5mg.
