Holly says she never thought she would see the designer brand at a bargain price

‘I found a skirt worth £168 in a charity shop and paid just £6’

A bargain-hunting shopaholic has revealed her latest find – a designer skirt worth £168 that she bought for just £6. Holly Wood was thrilled to find one of her “favourite brands ever” in her local charity shop in Manchester.

Sharing the scoop on TikTok, where the post garnered more than 100,000 views, the 39-year-old said: “I have finally done it – I’ve thrifted from a charity shop one of my favourite brands ever. I have been waiting for this moment. This item would have cost £160-£170 and I got it for just six quid.”

Holly showed off the luxury skirt, saying she “didn’t think it was possible” to locate the brand in a charity shop – particularly not one that she only had five minutes to browse in before an event. The mum-of-two added: “This was sat there right in front of me, and I had to nab it.”

The FARM Rio skirt, a high-quality Brazilian brand, features an elasticated drop waist and a dark red pattern smock design. She said: “When this was sat on the end of the thing, I did a double take.”

Instantly recognising it for its design and the thick, high-quality fabric, Holly immediately snapped it up. She added: “It is the most stunning, stunning brand. You know where your money is going with this – it’s designed so well.”

Holly later clarified that she believes the market value of the skirt to be £168. Trying it on, the thrifter was delighted with her buy.

She said: “I love it. It is so comfortable, has loads of stretch, and is so structured. I can’t believe that.”

Holly also found a brand-new waistcoat top from a boutique brand with a label for £75, a new Nasty Gal dress, and an ASOS dress. She described the full haul as “10/10” and estimated she had bagged around £300 worth of clothes for £30 altogether.
