I found a perfume so good I can’t stop smelling myself and it’s £26

I have over 150 perfumes in my personal collection and Huda’s latest addition is a standout

Huda Beauty is one of those brands that has skyrocketed in popularity over the years – personally I’m obsessed with their Blush Filter which looks great and manages to smell incredible too. In 2024, they came out with a limited-edition perfume inspired by the brand’s cult classic Easy Bake Loose Powder. I didn’t get a chance to try this so I was thrilled when I heard it was being reimagined in an even stronger scent.

The new and improved perfume is described as “rich, sexy, and unapologetically intense” on the Huda Beauty website and boasts that it “wears all day with an addictive trail.” So I was ecstatic when it showed up on my doorstep.

It has a wild cherry top note which I find adds a richness before settling into a delicious heart of white flower, cinnamon bark and caramel milk. The dry down is gourmand classic vanilla bourbon.

I’ve been really into lactonic scents over the last year, with Phlur’s Heavy Cream (£26) and Commodity Milk (from £30) being some of my favourites. The inclusion of caramel in the milk note is interesting and reminds me of Huda Kattan’s sister Mona’s latest perfume release Boujee Kitty Caramel Milk 22 (from £22).

I think Easy Bake manages to capture the scent of luxury makeup, when I first spritz it on I’m reminded of wandering through Harrods perfume hall. Not of any scent in particular but the entire experience.

I have over 150 perfumes in my personal collection, I’ve travelled to Paris, Florence and Grasse (the perfume capital of the world) to learn about and create my own scents. I’ve tried so many cherry perfumes and I find often they slip into something a little too boozy for daytime wear.

That’s not the case here at all. The cherry note is on the subtle side but when I focus on it, it makes me think of biting into a juicy cherry and having the red juice spill onto my lips. There’s a subtle sexiness to it that makes me keep smelling my wrist.

The heart blending together florals, spice and a lactonic note is genius. I think it’s this exact combination that makes it so addictive while the vanilla base is something of a staple in the current world of perfume.

I found this scent lasts a long time on my skin but I do consciously make an effort to layer my shower products and moisturisers in a way that complements my perfume. I also apply quite generously, with at least one spritz on each wrist and my neck. Often more, I don’t rub my perfume in though as this can disrupt the delicate formula.

This is such a clever scent, I think it has a mass appeal to so many of us. It’s perfect for those with the ‘clean girl aesthetic’ while also having something for gourmand, floral and fruity fans. This is a great final step in any makeup routine although I don’t think it will be a match for those who wear scents like Jazz Club and Angels’ Share.
