The Boots Healthy Skin Box costs just £39.99 but contains over £230 worth of wellness products
For many people setting New Year resolutions, improving one’s wellbeing is often a top priority, whether that’s fitness, skincare, or diet. As I turned another year older in December, my hunt for a collagen supplement that actually tastes nice became one of my main goals for 2026, and just one day into January, I may have already found it thanks to a Boots discovery box.
The Boots Healthy Skin Box costs £39.99 but is worth over £230. Inside are 19 items, 15 of which are full size with products spanning collagen supplements, hydration powders, vitamins, foot care, body care, and facial skincare. It really does feel like a head-to-toe wellness edit.
What really sold it for me was the fact that the box offers a variety of collagen formats, meaning I could try multiple different types and brands without committing to one expensive tub or sachet pack. Among them, there’s a powdered collagen, effervescent tablets and liquid sachets.
The standout product for me, by far, was the Vida Glow Berry Collagen Sachets . This is a brand I’ve seen crop up time and again when searching for the best collagen supplements, but the price has often put me off ordering them. This pack of 15 daily sachets usually retails at £39 on its own, meaning shoppers only pay 99p more for an additional 18 products.
Vida Glow’s mixed berry sachets genuinely taste great, with a tart and fruity flavour with no hint of fish, which is what usually puts me off marine-based collagen. With these alone, the entire box essentially paid for itself straight away, which meant everything else felt like a bonus.

A curated collection of 19 products spanning categories such as collagen, hydration, footcare, dry skin and vitamins.
With collagen, you do have to take it consistently to see results, and the Vida Glow samples included will last two weeks. Collagen is important for improving elasticity, leaving skin looking firmer and youthful.
I’ll then be able to use up the Dose & Co Pure Collagen – a powder format which can be stirred into tea, water or juice. Because it’s unflavoured, it’s barely detectable in a bottle of blackcurrant juice, however, I did prefer the convenience of the Vida Glow sachets and how quick they are to consume.
For skincare enthusiasts, there are plenty of full sized products to explore, including a full sized Cetraben day cream and night cream, Boots Vitamin C + Hyaluronic Acid night cream and Aveeno dermexa night time relief balm. The one I was most excited to try, though, was The Ordinary Salicylic Acid 0.5% Body Serum, which is great for anyone who gets breakouts on their back. Anyone heading to the gym more this January may find that sweat may cause more blemishes than usual, and the serum is a great way to treat and prevent spots.
Though a little late for those nursing headaches on New Year’s Day, there are two types of rehydration sachets featured, the ViDrate Natural Hydration Variety Pack and Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier Electrolyte Powder Mix Passion Fruit. These are ideal for helping alleviate dehydration-related hangover symptoms, but are also extremely handy to have in to help recover from bouts of sickness and diarrhoea, or for those who are taking up jogging this year to use on longer runs.
The edit feels really quite generous, starring well-known brands like Cetraben, Aveeno, The Ordinary, Liquid I.V. and Gold Collagen . However, some people may prefer a little more variety, with six of the items inside being collagen based which can’t all be taken at the same time, but will give users over a month’s worth of collagen.
Elsewhere, the Face The Future x Holland & Barrett Beauty Box contains 17 products for £49.99, but is worth over £270. Inside, customers can expect to see brands like NEOM, Philip Kingsley and Vida Glow to refresh and diversify their routine.
For more of a pamper-focused edit, Marks and Spencer’s Bath & Body Gift Bag is available for £25. Designed to create little moments of self-care, the curated line-up of indulgent minis includes NEOM’s Perfect Night’s Sleep Bath Foam, the Apothecary Calm Body Wash and L’Occitane’s Almond Shower Oil.
Back at Boots, though, the Healthy Skin Box has racked up a range of glowing reviews. One shopper said: “I was really impressed with the size of the box which was packed with lots of skin care goodies ranging from vitamins and drinks to full size face and body creams. An absolute bargain.”
“Full of beautiful full size items,” said another. “Arrived in two days and really exceeded expectations, will make a fabulous gift for a wellness lover, it’s just amazing! So happy with it.”
One commented: “Good value for the products you get, but for me there are too many supplements and unfortunately a lot of them have artificial sweetener or steviol glycosides which have an unpleasant aftertaste. Very pleased with the skincare products, slightly less so with the supplements. Not really suitable for a gift unless you know the recipient is into collagen supplements. And there’s a lot of collagen included.”
Though another called it ‘fantastic value’, adding: “Great range of powders, creams and liquids for self-care from head to toe. I already take collagen every day so I was very happy with the variety of products here. Lovely gift, even better to keep.”
