Girlfriend details why she charges her partner every time he stays over

A woman says she charges her boyfriend every time he spends the night at her house – but claims she has a valid reason as to why.

While we all know how expensive rent and bills are these days, but Mina Kim’s financial decisions may raise eyebrows, as she charges her boyfriend $50 (£37) every night he stays over to help cover living costs.

She says the money goes towards rent, food and bills, and the 26-year-old has shocked people online with her money-making scheme. Mina, from Angers, France, has enranged some social media users, as they worked out her boyfriend would sometimes pay over $100 (£75) a week just to see his girlfriend.

However, the money-saving influencer says the contribution covers the cost of what he uses when he stays at her house. Plus, she has a long-term plan that makes it all worth it.

Mina plans to stuff a binder with money until she reaches her target of $6,000 (£4,500) and says she’s on track to reach this in the next 60 days. The TikTok star has received backlash over her ‘unfair’ money-saving ways – despite it being used to eventually take her boyfriend on holiday to Mexico for Christmas.

She said: “I have been stuffing this for the past 60 days, so by the end, I could surprise my boyfriend a nice holiday to Mexico this Christmas. I’m so excited and we’re almost there!”

Her video has now gone viral, racking up nearly two million views, and it’s definitely ruffled some feathers. Despite Mina’s justification and the sweet idea behind the savig, people still aren’t happy.

One TikToker wrote: “So you’re surprising him with a holiday that he paid for? How kind of you!” While another added: “So you’re telling me that people like this are in relationships but I still can’t find someone.”
