Lego fans can now get Hagrid’s Hut for the cheapest price around thanks to Very’s fabulous Black Friday deal

As the proud owner of 10 Lego sets – five of which are Harry Potter builds – I can confidently say Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit is the cutest I’ve built so far. If, like me, you’ve had your eye on the lovable giant’s home for a while, now is the time to snap it up, with Very including the set in its huge Black Friday sale.

Whether you want to buy it for yourself or to gift on Christmas Day, Very has knocked £20 off Lego’s Hagrid’s Hut. You can snap up the adorable build for £44.99, down from the usual price of £64.99, which is the cheapest price around.

If this fabulous offer hasn’t convinced you, maybe I can help you decide on whether the set is for you, as I spent last weekend building Hagrid’s Hut. Designed for children over the age of eight and adults, the 896-piece set sees you build Hagrid’s Hut, a smaller hut for his pet dog Fang, and five Lego minifigures.

This includes Hagrid himself, Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Draco Malfoy, plus the set also includes toy figures of Fang and Hagrid’s dragon hatchling, Norbert. This allows you to recreate the iconic scene in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone where pesky Slytherin Malfoy spies through the window of the giant’s hut to see what they’re up to, and discovers the innocent dragon who Hagrid intends to keep as a pet.

The set includes a sticker sheet to add detail to the hut, which has a removable roof and sections that move so that you can open up Hagrid’s home for easy access. Inside you’ll find many adorable details, including a reclining armchair for Hagrid to sit on and the oven gloves he uses to remove the egg containing Norbert from the cooking pot before he hatches. There are also two collectible Hogwarts Portraits and many more items to discover.

I really enjoyed building Hagrid’s Hut: An Unexpected Visit and found it to be a nostalgic trip down memory lane, as it brought back memories of watching The Philosopher’s Stone for the first time when I was a child. Despite being suitable for children over the age of eight, there were some slightly challenging parts when it came to building the roof which took a little more concentration, which made the set even more enjoyable.

I absolutely love how the set looks displayed next to my now discontinued Hogwarts Astronomy Tower and Great Hall sets. I would say that if you plan on playing with the set often, it is a little fiddly having to remove and replace the roof each time, but as a display piece, this isn’t an issue.
