Alongside housing more than 330 individual departments offering high-end fashion, luxury accessories, fine jewellery, tech, and home goods, Harrods is also renowned for its iconic Food Halls

We all enjoy treating ourselves to a luxurious breakfast occasionally, but one food enthusiast and influencer admitted he ‘couldn’t believe how much he spent’ after purchasing his morning meal from Harrods recently. Harrods stands as the largest and most prestigious luxury department store in Europe, situated on Brompton Road in the upmarket district of Knightsbridge, London.

Covering more than one million square feet of retail space across seven floors, it remains a globally celebrated shopping destination that welcomes over 15 million visitors annually. Beyond accommodating more than 330 separate departments selling high-end fashion, luxury accessories, fine jewellery, technology, and homeware, the store has also gained recognition for its legendary Food Halls.

These ornately designed spaces are celebrated for gourmet delicacies, artisan pastries, fresh seafood, and premium speciality gifts including loose-leaf teas and traditional shortbread.

Carmie Sellitto, recognised for his online food reviews, shared his Harrods breakfast experience on Instagram with his 706,000 followers.

The influencer filmed himself, stating: “Today, I’m buying breakfast from Harrods, so let’s see how much I spend.”

Initially, he picked up some fresh orange juice alongside a watermelon juice.

Following this, he grabbed collagen and magnesium sachets from brand Zooki, explaining it helps him ‘feel alive’.

The food reviewer then chose some melon balls, costing him £12, before selecting Harrods’ viral gold croissant. He also picked up some date and cashew balls, which he said ‘thinks will be very tasty’, along with a protein bar from the brand Jade and Joy.

For his final purchase, Carmie selected a tomato and cream cheese pastry, explaining that despite already having a pastry, he fancied trying it as it was new.

Having completed his shopping spree, he announced: “I don’t want to get anything more, otherwise I won’t be hungry for lunch.

“So let’s go pay and find out how much I just spent.”

He subsequently disclosed the total as the cash machine showed he owed £43.50.

The video garnered over 19,000 likes, though it appeared numerous viewers considered the cost for his haul surprisingly reasonable.

One viewer declared: “£43 for breakfast in Harrods, that’s pretty good price. The gold croissant alone was worth it!”.

Another concurred it was “affordable”, while a third questioned: “That’s it? That would be $150 (£115) in the US bro.”

Others highlighted he’d acquired substantial amounts of food for a single breakfast, with one person asking: “Breakfast? ! That would last me all day! I don’t know how you stay so slim.”

While another contributed: “That was enough for 2-3 people.”

Beyond the Food Hall, Harrods guests can also eat at more than 20 restaurants, cafes, and bars throughout the premises, including boutique coffee bars, a sushi counter, and sophisticated afternoon tea rooms.
