Police have formally identified the remains are those of missing Trevor Blanchard, the 61-year-old who went missing in in June 2024
The remains of a man missing for almost 18 months have been discovered in farmland.
In an update tonight, police confirmed that the remains have been formally identified as belonging to Lincolnshire man Trevor Blanchard, who vanished in June 2024.
Officers confirmed that the man’s family have been informed about the discovery. A force spokesman said: “We are saddened to confirm that human remains have been located on farmland in Halton Holegate on November 22. These remains have been formally identified as belonging to 61-year-old missing man, Trevor Blanchard.
“We issued several appeals between June and October last year to assist in locating Trevor, who had been reported missing from the Spilsby area, and we are grateful to everyone who shared those appeals and supported the search.
“Trevor’s family have been informed of this development. Our deepest sympathies are with them and all who knew Trevor at this very difficult time.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances or evidence of foul play in connection with this discovery. We respectfully ask that the family be given privacy and space as they come to terms with this tragic news.”
