With Father’s Day fast approaching, those still needing to get a gift might have some luck at Boots. Right now, there is a massive deal offering up to half price on selected fragrance lines—and lots of deals apply to supersized bottles of designer scents.
The Ralph Lauren Polo Red Eau de Toilette (normally £85, down to £42.50) is described online as having a “spicy woody” scent profile. The “iconic” men’s perfume blends the “clean freshness of red grapefruit” with spicy red saffron and warm undertones of redwood to create a “masculine and long-lasting” scent.
Boots has lots of options to tempt people who are in the market for a new fragrance, either wanting to try something different or stocking up on an old favourite. The ‘absolute classic’ Rabanne Invictus Eau De Toilette is half its usual £129 price and shoppers claim to get “loads of compliments” from the discounted Emporio Armani Because It’s You Eau de Parfum, down from £82 to £41.

For those seeking a large bottle of aftershave at an affordable price, there are plenty of other deals around. Superdrug is offering BOSS Bottled Night Eau de Toilette (200ml for £52, reduced from £119) or The Fragrance Shop has Gucci Guilty Essence (90ml for £44.99, down from £97).
However, Boots stands out as one of the few stores offering this fragrance at a bargain price. Coming in the biggest available bottle of 125ml, shoppers were right to tell others that it will “last for ages”. Most shoppers gave the Ralph Lauren Polo Red Eau de Toilette the maximum five-star rating on Boots’ website.
One said: “An excellent fragrance that is quite long-lasting. I have been using Polo Red for a number of years now and have no plans to change.” Another added: “I bought this a month ago. I really like Ralph Lauren fragrances and haven’t missed getting one from their range in years. This one does not disappoint. It’s a classic manly scent that lasts all day with a little spray in the evening to enhance the fragrance, which is already there.”
A third wrote: “I’ve fallen in love with this fragrance and have been complimented each and every time I’ve used it. It has a fruity, fresh scent with subtle spice undertones that complement each other fantastically.” However, there were some critics, though.
However, someone suggested: “Please don’t waste your money. It doesn’t stay even for 20 minutes!” And, there was another who claimed: “Nice scent but not very strong so it doesn’t last long, wouldn’t have been happy paying full price!”
But, more praise was added to the over 200 flawless ratings. A happy shopper shared: “Got this a few weeks ago and have been really pleased with it. It’s a very light and fresh smelling EDT with a strong citrus scent. It lasts long into the afternoon when applied in the morning and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lighter scent to wear during the day.”
And, one more added: “Such good value. It’s a large bottle which means it will last ages. A few sprays provide very good longevity. It is super fresh and clean.”
