Home Bargains shoppers may want to know about this
Home Bargains has issued a major Christmas alert for all of its UK stores. The much-loved bargain retailer is likely currently experiencing a very busy period, as people endeavour to get everything they need ahead of the big day, December 25.
And in a new post on Instagram, Home Bargains told its many fans: “CHRISTMAS REMINDER. All of our stores will be closing for Boxing Day & New Years Day. We would like to thank all our colleagues for how hard you have worked this past year, and want you to relax and enjoy the Christmas break with your loved ones. Love from team HB”.
Earlier this year Home Bargains confirmed that all its UK stores would shut down for three days. The major brand said on Friday, September 5, that the decision was made at its annual conference with the aim of giving staff a break.
Home Bargains outlets will be closed on Christmas Day, Thursday December 25, Boxing Day, Friday December 26, and New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1 to allow staff to celebrate the festive period with their families. Shops will also close earlier than normal on Christmas Eve, shutting at 5pm to give teams extra time to spend the evening with relatives and friends.
A Home Bargains spokesperson said: “Our colleagues work incredibly hard throughout the year, and we want to recognise that commitment. As a family-run business, we understand the importance of spending time with family and friends, particularly over the holidays. We’re proud to give our teams additional time off to enjoy the festive season.”
Headquartered in Liverpool, TJ Morris Ltd, which operates as Home Bargains, ranks among the UK’s most rapidly expanding discount retailers. Operating more than 600 shops nationwide and employing over 28,500 people, the firm stands as Britain’s largest independent grocer.
