A body language expert has offered her thoughts on Holly Ramsay’s telling lingerie shoot, which comes amid brewing family tensions ahead of her festive wedding to Adam Peaty
With just weeks to go before she marries Adam Peaty, Holly Ramsay has issued saucy snaps from a very telling lingerie shoot – with a body language expert picking up on a pointed meaning.
The influencer, who is the daughter of famed chef Gordon Ramsay, has seen no end of drama in the run-up to her big day, amid a bitter fallout between members of the Peaty and Ramsay families. On December 27, 25-year-old Holly is all set to wed Olympic swimmer Adam, 30, at a lavish ceremony held at the historic Bath Abbey.
It looks set to be an occasion to remember, with the star-studded guest list including the likes of David and Victoria Beckham. However, it’s understood there will be a few notable absences on the big day, with Adam’s sister Bethany set to be the only family member from his side to still be attending. However, as the December countdown begins, bride-to-be Holly appears “hell-bent on enjoying her big day”, sharing racy pics brimming with apparent symbolism.

In an apparently defiant Instagram post captioned “iiit’s Wedding Month”, Holly looked carefree in a Victoria’s Secret bralette and brief set, finished off with a floor-length veil. Speaking to the Mirror, body language expert Judi James noted: “There’s a clear message of determination and resilience from the way Holly is creating a ‘Wedding countdown’ for Adam, showing she’s hell-bent on enjoying her big day as well as the build-up, no matter what dramas are swirling around her.
“Most guys hearing their wife-to-be was posting a pic dressed in Victoria’s Secret undies and a bridal veil would be expecting something sexy, naughty and very ‘hen night’. But Holly’s pose and her outfit here show she’s not a girl to make assumptions about. The undies look more like a sports bra and pants that appear aimed at sending a message of strength rather than cheese. They focus the eye on her muscular arms and ribcage, hinting at a sense of physical and emotional power.”
She continued: “This is hardly a vanity project, either. The photo is shot against the light, meaning Holly is in virtual silhouette and, despite her wide, slightly forced-looking smile, her eyes are cast away from the camera, hinting at shyness. The veil shows a desire to focus emphatically on Adam’s enjoyment of and expectation for the wedding and the build-up. As a personal message, this pose seems to be a strong reminder to him that this is their day and no one is going to spoil it.”
Behind the scenes of the fairytale wedding, preparations have been overshadowed by an ongoing family row, which has reportedly led to Adam’s heartbroken mother, Caroline Peaty, being barred from the nuptials altogether. Tensions reportedly erupted after the Olympian’s mother was mysteriously left out of Holly’s glamorous hen do at Soho Farmhouse, with her sister Louise Williams not holding back on the apparent snub.
Addressing Holly directly via social media, Adam’s aunt wrote: “I expected better of you and definitely of Adam. You have inflicted a hurt on my sister that will take a very long time to heal if ever.” Elsewhere, Louise claimed that Adam and Holly had banned Caroline from the wedding because she did not apologise for not attending a recent trip to buy wedding outfits due to train cancellations.
The gold medallist has also allegedly barred his mum from seeing her five-year-old grandson, George, whom he shares with former girlfriend Eirianedd Munro. Louise has now claimed that her sister learned she’d been dropped from the invite list while returning George back to the care of his mother, and had no choice but to mask the deep “hurt and betrayal” she felt in front of her young grandchild.
Aside from the situation with Caroline, other members of Adam’s family have reportedly been unable to afford the cost of accommodation and travel. One relative told The Sun: “We were sent a ‘save the date,’ and it’s all these country houses. I’m on Universal Credit — I can’t afford that.” Meanwhile, relatives have alleged that Adam is “ashamed” of his working-class roots, and “has been changed by money, fame and fortune”. One family source claimed, “He seems to have forgotten where he came from.”
Speaking previously with the Mail Online, former nursery manager Caroline revealed that she has still picked a gift for the couple from their registry, remarking, “It’s a decent present.” The grandmother, who lives in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, also intends to send a card, but says, “I don’t know if they will even open it.”
However, it appears Caroline also hasn’t given up hope that Adam will have a change of heart. The mum, who says she dedicated herself to supporting her son’s career, shared: “If he changed his mind, I would go. I want to go to Bath, to go into the abbey, to watch him get married. I love him, he’s still my little boy.”
Meanwhile, Adam’s stag do also sparked yet more drama, with the athlete reportedly becoming alarmed after allegedly receiving “increasingly abusive and threatening” text messages. These became so concerning that worried fiancée Holly alerted the police, after consulting with family members. Adam’s older brother, James, 34, was later arrested at his home in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, but has since been bailed. Shaken Adam was met by officers as he landed at Manchester Airport, over fears he could be assaulted.
A pal told The Sun: “The issues that have been reported don’t stem from hen do or wedding invitations; it goes so much deeper. Things escalated over the weekend when someone became increasingly abusive and threatening over text. Adam was trying to enjoy his stag do and was getting freaked out by it all.”
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson stated: “We arrested a 34-year-old man, from the Uttoxeter area, on November 11, 2025, on suspicion of harassment. The man was released on conditional bail while our enquiries continue.”
Adam’s dad, Mark, who reportedly wasn’t in attendance at the stag, has now also spoken out about the feud between his sons, explaining that things had gotten out of hand. Mark told The Sun: “They’re brothers, they’ve always been close, but like any normal family, brothers fight, argue, fall out, make up and start all over again. But it’s got out of hand, there’s been very little empathy towards Jamie’s genuine mental health difficulties.”
Adam, who is regarded as one of the world’s best ever sprint breaststroke swimmers, recently broke his silence over the debacle on Instagram, writing: “For those who know me personally, you know that I work so hard on trying to improve myself as a person who wants to contribute to making the world a better place.
“I am continuing to learn about myself and how I can be the man I want to be; a worthy partner, father, businessman, friend and athlete; even through these challenging times. Bethany, Holly and I will get through this – we do not ask for sympathy. We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story. To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding – thank you. It is deeply appreciated.”
