The British Allergy foundation approved duvet boasts over 24,000 Amazon reviews with shoppers who say it’s ‘deliciously plump’
With hay fever season nearly upon us, many of us are preparing for an unwelcome return to those pesky symptoms, from runny eyes to snotty noses, and everything inbetween. Now, Amazon shoppers have been raving about a duvet that contains anti-allergy fibres which have been approved by the British Allergy Foundation, saying it helps them get a ‘restful night’s sleep.’
The Silentnight Anti-Allergy Duvet comes in various togs, starting from 4.5 which has been cut in price in a double size from £24 to £18, rising up to a 13.5 tog which is also on sale in a double with the price now £26.99, down from £33. The duvet features a clever anti-bacterial filling that actively protects against bacteria and dust mites, helping to prevent allergies and keeping the duvet feeling fresh and clean.
The item’s Amazon listing claims it has been “scientifically tested and proven to reduce or remove allergens that could otherwise be present in your duvet whilst also being effective against 99.9% of bacteria.” What’s more, the duvet is a huge hit with shoppers, having been rated over 24,000 times and boasting an overall review score of 4.6 out of five stars.
One said: “Love this – I get really bad hay fever and seasonal allergies and this helps me have a restful sleep. If any of you are sneezy and wheezy like me – I would definitely recommend!”
Elsewhere on the high street M&S offers the Smart Wash & Dry Anti Allergy 10.5 Tog Duvet with prices starting from £35. At Dunelm, shoppers can snap up the Fogarty Warm & Cosy Anti-Allergy 10.5 Tog Duvet from £16 for a single.

Back at Amazon, and the Silentnight Anti-Allergy Duvet has won over plenty of shoppers. Another commented: “Great duvet, excellent value and a good nights sleep for my son who has eczema and hay fever.”
A third raved: “Since purchasing this roughly a month ago it has really made a difference to my allergy symptoms. It is of a medium warmth, light but very cosy.
“I used to wake up with a runny nose and dark circles pretty much every day but since buying this along with the pillow cases and pillows I no longer have that problem. I haven’t changed anything else, so if you are a sufferer from dust in particular and hay fever then go ahead and treat yourself to this; well made and does what it says!
“I hope you found this review helpful. Note I paid full price for this product also.”
It is worth considering that one shopper wrote: “We are a family of allergy sufferers so I always buy the anti allergy duvets. I bought this one for my son’s big bed. It is soft, warm and cosy.
“He has not reacted with his asthma or his eczema. The price I paid was a little higher than I usually pay otherwise it would have had 5 stars.”
However, one who opted for the lightest 4.5 tog design enthused: “Light yet warm and deliciously plump and cosy for those times in early autumn or spring/summer. The filling is distributed evenly, great for summer nights too when it drops some degrees. Feel nice on the bed.”
Meanwhile, someone else said: “Excellent duvet. Just the right weight and seems breathable unlike other duvets. Definitely anti allergy too it seems.”
