Fed up with drivers being stung by doubled fines? A tiktoker has created a solution, a site that links to MOT, tax and parking accounts with reminders straight to your phone

With many struggling to keep up with payments for car fines, and in turn being left with a double penalty charge, one TikToker, @decentraldola, has made an app to prevent this.

What started as a rant about how every payment requires different logins, such as MOT, tax and even parking, quickly turned into a presentation of a practical app designed to help drivers juggle the fines and deadlines.

The website will link every UK MOT, tax and parking account, sending reminders to avoid drivers missing deadlines, facing doubled charges or dealing with the confusing amount of logins.

“One of the 10 way’s that UK treats car drivers – parking fines, congestion charge, Dartford crossing, road tax, MOT, insurance, car service, speeding tickets and they’re all different places, different logins and different deadlines,” he says.

He adds that he feels as though the system is set up for people to forget, allowing the price to be doubled, but he’s found a way to change that.

“I’m making one website for everything, links to all the sites plus reminders straight to your phone and email, so you know exactly when anything is due,” he says. He also hopes to include example prompts to help people appeal “unlawful” parking tickets.

The idea is both clever and painfully useful. With many juggling several cars, policies, work shifts and childcare, remembering ten different dates is easy to fail. The app aims to take away the stress by offering a single, reliable hub for drivers who just want peace of mind.

The TikTok has already gained over 100k views and 36.7k likes, with many drivers praising the idea and showing there is a clear gap in the market. Some even said they’d sign up immediately if it were available nationwide.

One person commented: “This is a great idea, helpful for a lot of people who may have to wait for their next payday before they can afford the exploitation of being a driver.”

Another added: “The words Dartford crossing sends me into fight or flight.”
