Gavin and Stacey: Christmas special teaser trailer

While we were all counting down until December 25 to open our presents and spend time with family, there was another much-anticipated Christmas Day moment to enjoy – the Gavin & Stacey finale. Returning for one final episode, fans got to see their favourite sitcom actors say goodbye to their characters in an emotional episode that included James Corden’s character Smithy finally tying the knot.

In a series of heartwarming behind the scenes moments featured on James’ Instagram, one shot shows his character Smithy and Gavin, played by Mathew Horne, laying in bed next to each other, and an eagle eyed viewer was quick to point out that they knew exactly where to get the bedding used in the scene. The set in question is the Belle Reversible Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set from Dunelm, with a double size set costing £20.

The set was also noticable in a scene with Julia Davis’ character Dawn Sutcliff is caught reuniting with Pete, giving it an unexpected starring role in the episode.

You can now play The Traitors at home with this £20 boardgame for the whole family

The fan wrote: “I don’t have the duvet set but I know where it’s from as I work for Dunelm and I’m so sad – as my family tell me when I recognise our products on TV but I see these items every day! Belle Grey is one of our stores good sellers, maybe after seeing it on the final it might become the best one of 2025?!”

Although it comes in three different colours, it was the light grey version that featured in the scene, with a charcoal grey and light blue version also available. You can also choose whether you want a 100% cotton or a polycotton blend material, with the prices altering slightly depending on which you pick.

The 100% cotton version is between £4 and £6 more expensive than the polycotton one, with the double costing £20 in polycotton and and £24 in 100% cotton. Both materials and all colourways also come in single, double, kingsize and superking sizes.

The Belle Duvet Cover and Pillowcase Set is also fully reversible, with a different co-ordinating colour on the other side so you can change up how your bed looks in an instant. Shoppers are also thrilled with the quality, giving the duvet set a 4.6 out of 5 star rating with more than 1000 5 star reviews.

One wrote: “Very pleased with my purchase very good quality material and excellent price,” whilst another added: “This duvet set looks absolutely stunning, really brightens up the bedroom, excellent quality and feels great also washes well.”

One did mention: “Lovely pattern but not as soft as I would like may soften up after a few washes hopefully,” whilst another said: “Great value but iron while damp as difficult to iron when dry.”

However others were more than happy, writing: “Lovely cotton duvet set. Easy to iron. Light colours on both sides, not too dark.”

Elsewhere, Marks and Spencer also has a gorgeous reversible floral duvet set, with the Cotton Blend Floral Bedding Set costing between £17.50 for a single and £29.50 for a superking. Each side features a different floral print, with shoppers saying: “Good quality, nice material and colour. Washed well and did not need ironing.”

If you’re after something more luxurious, Next’s Shabby Chic by Rachel Ashwell floral bedding set has a 200 thread count and is made from 100% cotton. It’s priced between £55 and £90, but has gotten rave reviews from buyers, with one writing: “Very pretty with the delicate flowers covering the duvet cover. Superb quality, washes well. I love Rachel Ashwell’s bedding range and have purchased a few items from this range.”
