There’s nothing better than some timeless tailoring when it comes to spring workwear, and Frankie Bridge’s navy pinstripe suit is the perfect pick for new season office styling

As we head into a new season, there’s nothing better than giving your wardrobe a little refresh and taking some time to rest and recharge – and that’s exactly what Frankie Bridge did recently. Hosting River Island’s overnight RI-treat, Frankie picked the perfect chic tailored set for the occasion which was, of course, from River Island.

Frankie wore the Navy Stripe Scoop Neck Blazer, £65, and the matching Navy Belted Wide Leg Trousers, £46, for the event, with fans praising her stylish set. The tailored co-ord is the perfect combination of modern and classic, and is a guaranteed failsafe, versatile piece to have in your wardrobe as we head into spring.

The navy stripe suit is perfect for creating a structured yet relaxed silhouette, with oversized wide leg trousers on the bottom and a slimmer-fitting blazer up top to create balance. Rather than a classic collared neckline, the Navy Stripe Scoop Neck Blazer has a rounded scoop neck with a slightly nipped in waist that flares out over the hips to create an hourglass silhouette.

On the other hand, the Navy Belted Wide Leg Trousers have a much more laidback look with a relaxed wide leg and mid rise waistband. The pleated details down the front of each leg keep it looking smart and office-ready, but you could just as easily wear these trousers for brunch with a simple T-shirt and trainers as you could for work with some heels or loafers.

Although the trousers come with a simple black slim belt, you can just as easily swap it for something chunkier or in a bolder design if you want to add a pop of colour to your look. Both pieces are currently still available in sizes 6 to 18, but we suspect it won’t be long before they start selling out thanks to Frankie’s impeccable styling.

We did find some other fab alternatives elsewhere, with the Love & Roses Blue Tailored Cropped Blazer Jacket, £49, and the matching Navy Blue Tailored Wide Leg Trousers, £42, currently available at Next in sizes 8 to 22. The separates both have a similar navy pinstripe design, with a straight leg fit trouser and collared blazer if you prefer a more classic fit.

If the thought of some spring sunshine has got you keen to swap your jackets for something breezier, the Albaray Pinstripe Collarless Waistcoat is available at Marks & Spencer’s for £65. However, if Frankie’s modern twist on a timeless suit has caught your eye, you can still shop the Navy Stripe Scoop Neck Blazer and Navy Belted Wide Leg Trousers at River Island now.
