With the arrival of spring and summer comes wedding guest season. And with all the options available to shop nowadays, we think we’ve found the ultimate classic but stylish occasionwear dress, and it’s all thanks to Frankie Bridge.
We all know the iconic yellow dress Kate Hudson’s character wears in the 00s rom-com ‘How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days’, and now Frankie Bridge has found a 2025 updated version to rival the iconic look.
Posting her weekly ‘Faves’ clothing edit to her Instagram story, Frankie shared the Six Stories Bridesmaid halter neck satin maxi dress in lemon, £129, and labelled it as ‘PERFECT for wedding season’. And we’d have to agree. The slim fit dress features a halterneck design, and is made from a gorgeous creamy yellow satin material.

Butter yellow has been one of the biggest spring/summer trends so it’s no surprise to see this creamy hue all over the high street. The Six Stories dress is actually a bridesmaid dress and works perfectly as one. However, we also love how Frankie has styled the dress as a wedding guest option or fancy occasionwear look
Frankie teamed the buttery dress with a men’s navy tailored blazer from River Island, £70 here, along with a matching pocket square and handbag, £30 here, from Six Stories.
