Fragrance fans snap up Marc Jacobs, Fenty and Jo Loves perfumes for under £50 in deal

Fragrance fans can snap up nine luxury perfumes for under £50 in a clever deal trick. John Lewis has launched a Signature Scent Box which allows shoppers to explore a range of different brands and scents – including a full sized bottle – for £65. But there’s a way to get it for less.

The John Lewis Signature Scent Box features a ‘collection of olfactory sensations’, with a range of ‘flagship’ scents from the likes of Marc Jacobs, Fenty, Jo Loves, Viktor & Rolf and more. Bottles range from 4ml to 30ml, with the box containing 91ml of fragrance, which would last between six months to a year depending on individual usage – and one bottle alone more than covers the cost of the box.

The Fenty Beauty Eau de Parfum 30ml is worth £65 alone, meaning the remaining eight travel-friendly bottles are effectively ‘free’. What sets this scent apart from the majority of scents is that, instead of being made of top, heart and base notes, it’s exclusively made of middle notes ‘for a long-lasting experience’.

The fragrance features warm floral notes of magnolia, musk, tangerine and Bulgarian rose, which is said to ‘express itself uniquely on each wearer’. On the Boots website, one shopper said: “The scent is mature and seductive. Perfect to wear in a serious profession or on a fun date night! Plus the scent stays on all day.”

Another added: “There’s something really different about this fragrance – it really makes you stand out in the sea of vanilla and cherry fragrances right now. Turns heads! Love it.”

Though not everyone has been immediately sold on it, with one lukewarm review reading: “Not sure of the scent to be honest. Notes are different for me. Maybe it takes some getting used to.”

Aside from the Rihanna-curated scent, there’s also a 10ml bottle of Jo Loves Amber, Lime and Bergamot, and a 10ml bottle of Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid which is worth £29 on its own. Then there’s classics like Marc Jacobs Daisy, though some may be disappointed that this is the smallest bottle at 4ml.

Perfume enthusiasts will also find Maison Crivelli Cuir InfraRouge Extrait de Parfum 5ml, Memo Paris Odéon Eau de Parfum 5ml, Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Extreme Eau de Parfum Intense 7ml, Narciso Rodriguez For Her Eau de Parfum Intense 10ml and Sisley-Paris L’Eau Rêvée d’Eliya Eau de Toilette, 10ml.

So, it begs the question, how do shoppers get it for less than £50? That’s where TopCashback comes in. Back at John Lewis, shoppers have been heaping praise on the Signature Scent box, with one commenting: “I was so pleased with this purchase. The smaller size fragrances are ideal to test the product and lovely size for my holidays as not heavy.”

“My husband bought me this as an early Valentine’s gift,” said another. “It is so lovely, 8 little bottles perfect for holidays and 1 bigger bottle for use at home. I do love a hamper and this is like an advent calendar without needing to wait to open the doors. More products like this please John Lewis and pls continue to email through suggestions to people who otherwise would buy a bunch of flowers from the petrol station.”

A third penned: “Oh my gosh. I have never owned a Jo Malone perfume. This selection is quite good, I haven’t tried them all but I’m familiar with Flowerbomb, Daisy and NR. I loved the Jo Maloneeeee.”

Not everyone loved every scent, however, with one review reading: “I bought to try some different scents and this was affordable, but do read the description as some are very heavy/sickly when worn which is not for everybodies taste which is why I didn’t give 5 stars as I think a better mix of scents would have been better.”

Another, though, found that they loved every single one, commenting: “I was unsure about ordering this as I was not familiar with any of the fragrances. I have really enjoyed discovering each different perfume. Perfume is a very individual thing, but I have not tried any that I haven’t liked. Feminine, floral, lovely. Very pleased I took the plunge. Good value for money.”
