We all like to treat ourselves to a tasty dessert every now and again.
However, would you be willing to pay a whopping £360 for it?
One social media pair, known as ‘ANGELLLBOYS’, like to show off their luxurious lifestyle with their 247,000 followers online. And they certainly went all out at one restaurant recently when they spent hundreds of pounds on their pudding.
The pair shared a reel to their Instagram page from a restaurant as overlay text read: “When you finally try the famous £360 tiramisu (£180 per person).
The clip saw a chef preparing the dessert in front of them as they poured chocolate, coffee and cream onto sponge fingers.
However, it didn’t seem like many people were very impressed, judging by the comments left on the post.
A lot of people had one big complaint, as they said it takes hours to make a proper tiramisu. One wrote: “Tiramisu MUST be made a minimum of 4-6 hours to taste half decent. In fact 24 hours is ideal. That’s just a sloppy tasteless mess.”
While another agreed: “It’s better to serve overnight tiramisu so all the flavours will mix them up and get the best experience.”
A third also chimed in: “Isn’t actual tiramisu soaked and chilled overnight?” While a fourth added: “Too much syrup, and it needs to cool off for a few hours in the fridge, that’s not tiramisu, are just some lady fingers between some cream soaked in coffee syrup.”
Many agreed £360 for the dessert was “overpriced” while others didn’t see the appeal of getting your dessert made in front of you.
Despite claiming the dessert was ‘famous’, the ANGELLLBOYS didn’t reveal where they got the dessert from and it can’t be easily found with a quick Google search.
For those not working on the same budget as the boys, why not just try Tesco’s own tiramisu which is just £3.30 on get a taste of luxury with Waitrose’s version which is also a bargain at £2.55.
