A Metropolitan Police investigation has been launched into allegations of misogynistic behaviour by a number of its Royalty and Specialist Protection officers between 2023 and 2024
The Metropolitan Police has reportedly carried out an internal investigation into five of its Royalty and Specialist Protection officers after reported allegations of misogynistic behaviour, and comments about “Little Hitlers”. A female member of staff at Kensington Palace, who has not been named, reportedly raised an official complaint over a string of “inappropriate” comments between August 2023 and September 2024. An official complaint was filed in October 2024. it allegedly included claims that the palace was “full of little Hitlers”.
A Met spokesperson said in a statement: “The reported behaviour falls below the high standards expected of officers, particularly those in frontline protective roles. As a result of our internal investigation into this matter, the officers received reflective practice to consider their actions and identify learning for the future.”
It concluded: “It remains a priority for the Met to ensure all officers and staff uphold the highest standards of professionalism, so we can continue to build trust and confidence with those we serve.” It is understood that the behaviour of the officers was not found to meet the threshold for misconduct. However, The Sun reports senior Royal Household staff decided to stop them from working at any palaces in the future by removing their access passes.
